Man, I hope Jon Bailey becomes the new main voice of Soundwave. I don't think its likely, but he carries Frank Welker's torch in that way better than anyone.

It just baffles me how Michael bay got Frank Welker to voice soundwave in his movies but he sounds nothing like his original voice, but travis knight got jon bailey to voice him in the bumblebee movie and he sounds more like soundwave than he did in dark of the moon. How do you screw something like that up?

I loved that beginning scene of bumblebee with all the classic but modernized looks.

Frank Walker's TFP soundwave and John Bailey's Bumblebee Soundwave are by far the best, although I did think that Jeff Bennet's soundwave sounded rather fitting too.

Tutorials on YouTube explain that a vocoder is part of how to capture the G1 Soundwave voice. All of those voice actors would work, but a vocoder plays a big part of his voice as well. If we were to go by those tutorials, Frank Welker used the same voice he provided for Revenge of the Fallen but it wasn't vocoded. (3-7-2021)

I grew up with the G1 series on tv and Soundwave was always my favorite so seeing him in his og form in Bumblebee felt so good

My favorites: 1. Jeff Bennett (His voice is like a new and improved version of G1 and sounds way more badass and cooler) 2. Isaac Singleton Jr (His voice is also like an improved G1 and is also badass and cool) 3. Frank Welker (You can't go wrong with the originals) I also have a soft spot for Peter Jessop who voiced Soundwave in Revenge of the Fallen: The Game. He was pretty cool.

Bumblebee finally got the missing part... the vocoder for Soundwave's voice... Michael Bay may have gotten Frank Welker back but they didn't do his usual vocoded voice effect so ends up just sounding like live action Dr Claw
