Polite English: Ask Better Questions (and get better results)

Published 2023-03-30
Do you speak politely in English? In this class, I’ll show you how to combine good language with smart psychology to create more positive results. You’ll learn 3 easy ways to sound more respectful and diplomatic in English. We will change commands into questions, and ordinary questions into better questions. Specifically, we’ll focus on: “Could you please...”, “Would you like...” and “Do you think...” For more lessons like this, take my complete course to upgrade your English: www.engvid.com/to/rebecca10minuteenglish

  • Rebecca, you are the best teacher I have ever met in my life. Thank you so much for your work. All your videos are really helpful, the explanation is perfect.
  • You taught individuals to be civic, respectful, and courteous with fellow human beings.
  • You are a very good teacher.........You have a clear voice, correct pronunciation, typical Oxbridge, slightly North American accent. . You can explain so easily, lucidly...............You are not like other teachers who speak 200 kms per hour.......... who twist n turn their tongue n lips for nothing.......

No matter how we phrase it, the 'tone' of the phrase matters a lot. It depends on the cultural background in which one is raised. Even short phrases can be used effectively by the tone. An example, the difference between a child uttering a phrase and an adult using a phrase.
