Your most valuable asset, second only to your friendship with God, is your relationships with people. But sometimes we have problems in our friendships, so this message addresses:

- How to be careful about choosing friends.
- Wrong kinds of friendships.
- Building blocks to friendships.
- Things that damage a friendship.
- How to heal a friendship.
- How to continue the rebuilding process once a friendship is healed.

Based on Proverbs 16:28.

This message is part of the series "Building Wise Relationships."

My personal problem was expecting everyone to be a good person but it's better to see people for who they are rather than the perception I have of them. The other thing is thinking people too highly of them too quick without giving it time to notice who they really are. The best thing is being patient with anyone and see who they really are before calling them friends.

Bad company will bring you down and keep you there, so be careful of those you invite into your life.

πŸ˜” Dr.Stanley's thank you. The older I get the more I understand that it's okay to live a life others don't understand, loving when it's not returned.
  • The sad fact is we could have a friend for years..even decades and not know them for who they really are.And when you find out they aren't your friend,it's usually something we should have seen coming long ago.The same goes with being married..you may think you know them so well, then 10 years into it you finally see that real person. And you have to guard your Heart from such people. I have to say i do love hearing Charles Stanley put it so perfectly.
  • Thank you God in Jesus Christ. Many blessings for all and have great and blessed Saturday in Jesus Christ Amen. πŸ˜‡β€πŸŒ·πŸŒ»β˜•πŸ°

This is why I left my "friendships". My "friends" weren't friends at all. I dealt with selfish, manipulative and jealous friends. It was tough. But I know good friends will come a long πŸ€—.

I think loving Jesus comes first that He will guide us to help others in friendships with Him. Decades ago people were less divided and more likely sensitive to helping friends.
  • Thank you Lord God for everything that you love me endlessly through JESUS Christ your son Amen πŸ’–πŸ”₯πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Over the years I’ve learned to stay out of trouble with others by praying for them that’s the best thing anyone can do.
  • You are prayed for, and believe help is on the way , I know god and so do you! He knows ❀
  • I have been praying about a friend I have known my whole life. I have always been the giver, and her the taker. But when my son was dying, and I told her about it, I never heard a word from her. She never one time called me to talk about it. Other things similar she was not there for me. I have always been there for her. I asked God if I should walk away this time. Thank you for this message. God always comes thru. He was telling me to walk away.
