Exploring Lyons Rd on motorcycles after big storm

Published 2016-08-06
Starts off like normal, but before long there are creeks that have just receded from overflowing on bridges and trees blown down all over the road.

Was a great day, all up doing just over 400km from Brisbane, Queensland, down through Beaudesert, to Rathdowney and then over the border to Kyogle, Northern New South Wales for lunch and then back again.

A few things of note if you're interested:

The car number plate i found in the fallen tree, i placed at the top of the road propped up on the donation collection thing. Hopefully the owner is local and will come past and find it. :)

There's a giant butterfly on a tree that i only noticed when editing the video, so extra points if you spot that :) (be sure to comment if you do so i know i'm not crazy! :p )

There's 2 very brave Magpies (Black and white bird) standing on a corner of the road, the closest one had it's chest stuck out acting tough and refused to budge, i was impressed! :D

Also thumbs up if you see me get my leg wet from a puddle on a bridge, then later see if you spot me avoiding another puddle with a genius 2 feet salute :P

I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (youtube.com/editor)
