A big thank you to everyone who listened and enjoyed this compilation :-) On January 31, Schubert would have turned 225. Just to think he only lived to be 31 years old, but left behind more than a lifetime’s worth of music - over 1500 compositions! And many of those of transcendental beauty.

Oh, my dear Schubert, it is so difficult to explain the deep feelings when at half past two in the morning you come into our soul and quiets it with your Chrystal Sublime Ethereal Immortal masterpieces, it was probably your unhappy life that transformed you into what you became! And Halidon in its/his difficult Auditions has discovered one of the most brilliant interpreters V.Chaimovich able to render anyone completely to the Music Treasures that you've left us. My thoughts are with you to thank you for ever, Teresa.

It's interesting to see all of the different languages and alphabets used here in the comments. It speaks to the universal appeal of music. Funny how people from different cultures can appreciate - even love - a piece of music, but can't agree on things like religion or politics. Music has the ability to transcend things that other human creations can't. That'll never solve the world's problems, but in the meantime it gives us all something to enjoy and to be thankful for.

Hello I'm Courtney Rawlins 55 years old I'm a classical pianist srared taking piano lessons at 6 yrs of age went grade 5 in Royal school of music did pianoforte practice and theory my favourite to play schubert rachmanonoff rhapsody on a theme of pagani chopins military polonaise abd schubetts impromptu in G flat I'm currently living temporarily in a care home and I play fur the senior residents they adore whstvi play them also ingsd a stroke 2 yrs ago and playing piano is therapeutic and give me exercise in my fingers and arms I play by air
