While the game released alongside the console versions of the same name in June 2012 (A couple of weeks before the film's release), The Amazing Spider-Man for Android and iOS stands alone as a completely separate game to those on console.
Developed by Gameloft, the plot of the game loosely follows that of the film, taking creative liberties to create its own storyline based on what was known about the story before the film released. Gameplay is very similar to most other 3D Spider-Man games, largely focused on either web swinging to reach certain objectives or engaging with enemies through close quarters combat. For a mobile game, The Amazing Spider-Man is quite an impressive feat and was still an absolute joy to play through today.

This mobile game was my childhood after Spider-Man Total Mayhem And Gangstar Miami Vindication. One of the good games i’ve play in 2012 to 2016, until it got delisted and shut down for no reason. I still have TASM 2 on my iPhone, except for TASM 1 and couldn’t find it in the purchase history. Wish I had the game back.

I had the pleasure to play this marvelous game last year. Damn, was it good. I literally finished in a day tho. Was a little short, but still awesome how it held out pretty great for a 2012 mobile game, although I was disappointed to find out the iOS version of the game had much better GFX. I hope you get to play the second game as well. The two of them will forever have a place in my heart. Edit: also, why did the icons get so big? Lol
