I don't know what YouTube is expecting to accomplish by trying to push out extraordinary creators like EWU. Their videos are always so well researched, well produced, informative, educational (on many levels), thoughtful, respectful & considerate. They provide facts, details & explanations without conjecture, wild opinions & sensationalism. So I not only have more complete overall pictures of the cases they cover but I also have much deeper understandings of these situations in general, such as common motivating factors, warning signs, preventative measures, etcetera. Tbh, I've learned more from their videos than I have almost any other creator on this platform. And the substance of what I'm learning helps me in everyday life. EWU channels are truly an asset...to both viewers & YouTube. If they get pushed off this platform by YT, it would be a shameful & profound loss! YOUTUBE - STOP BEING SO CLOSED-MINDED & HYPOCRITICAL!
  • I love that you include a red flags section where you explain what is not normal behaviour. I feel like it could really help people who get caught up in a bad situation to recognize it before it becomes worse. I know I'm more aware of my surroundings, people's actions and their behaviour because of the many videos I've watched on this channel 👌🏼

I don’t think YouTube realizes how much of an audience they’d lose by dropping EWU and other true crime content creators. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows and some people take interest in that side of life, it’s awesome to have access to this type of content. Thanks EWU.

Continually grateful to this channel for not only exploring lesser-known crime cases, but also equipping its audience with cognitive tools to recognize abuse/harmful surroundings, and how to escape safely. This channel's focus, overall, on victim/survivor mindset and recovery where possible, is highly admirable. Keep up the good work, guys, no matter what Youtube does!

I remember this story. Its awful. She drugged her and sexually assaulted her used a rolling pin. What is scary is that there are many women out there like her...they are just harder to find.

Thanks for being the best true crime channel on youtube. EWU, and specifically the narrator and the content itself, is an incredible look into the worst, but legitimately real, bits of society. I certainly have learned a lot about humanity through this channel. Thank you for your hard work making it educational, yet realistic.
  • Sandra’s story is so horrific. To know that a so called “mother, friend, neighbor, Christian/church goer” not only killed but drugged and molested this child. Scary to think this type of evil exists, is out there Not yet caught.
  • About Becky’s story. I think, based off her brother’s history of preying on young girls and the fact that she thrived when hospitalized and removed from the home, something serious was going on. EDs and early sexual behavior (the nudes) are sometimes symptoms of s*xual abuse. I can’t believe no one stepped in and investigated. They would have seen, at the very least, a hoarder home, which is unfit for children, and she could have been saved. The system failed that poor girl. I hope her soul can find some peace.

The Cantu case was really tough to listen to when it came out. At that time I was a early learning teacher. My coworkers and I had a hard time with this one. The year before was the Casey Anthony case and trial. Which was equally difficult. Particularly, the outcome of that trial. We were so worried that she was going to get off on the Cantu case. The hardest thing for us was working with children, you're trying to wrap our heads around someone who looked normal, was a female, a care provider and a educator. And as you said almost no warning signs. I avoided hearing about this case for a long time. It's still tough to hear. My heart goes out to the families, friends, the community as well as the investigators. I can't even imagine the grief. Even to this day. I wanted to add as a side note. I really enjoy your content. I hope you guys won't leave us but if you do, I'll follow you wherever you go to watch your content.

It blows my mind that in this day and age people still google search things related to the murder they’re about to commit from THEIR OWN COMPUTER
  • @Sierrapaige36
i really love the fact that you’ve explained warning signs and ways to get out of abusive situations. as someone who has gone through that before it’s definitely not easy to handle and it’s nice to see people taking it seriously and trying to help

Sorry about all the BS YouTube is putting you guys through. Thanks so much for this.

Re: Becky Watts — you have to leave out that Nathan was historically a pervert and abusive brother in order to make it surprising/twisty. They had a history of toxicity.

EWU is the best true crime channel and one of the best documentary style channels on YouTube. The quality of y'all's work and the respectful way you go about it is truly incredible.
  • @XBabySinX
EWU is 1,000% the best channel on YouTube for true crime content, I say this as a 20 year obsessive true crime fanatic, who started long before we had such amazing content, via books. It’s so amazing to both read about crimes and also have these amazing breakdowns as I am just as much into profiling and studying human behavior (they do go hand in hand don’t they?) The best!
  • @dawsonpro2012
You guys are by far the highest quality and most detailed true crime series on YouTube! If it was a score of 1 to 5 you guys are 10! Keep up the amazing work.
  • So... Nathan got a minimum of just under 2 years per year of Rebecca Watts 16 year old life... and the co-killer got just over 1 year per year of Rebecca Watts life. Putting it like this in these year to year comparison of life to death hopefully makes you realize how there is no justice. How fleeting life can be. Stay safe.

I was in an abusive relationship once & I literally just took off one day when it was getting bad. There was 3-4 ft of snow on the ground & I only had this thin jacket on but I didn't care!! I took off, changed my number & never looked back!! ✌️✌️ If anyone out there is in an abusive relationship, PLEASE find someone you can talk to & help get you out.
  • @alexxander966
Financial abuse should be talked about more. I used to be in what I thought was a loving relationship, but my ex was very financially abusive. It took over a year after the breakup for me to realize exactly how bad it was. I didn't even buy new clothes for two years because I was trying to save money, but any money I saved, he splurged immediately. Tell me why I had a $10 burner cell phone when he had a decked out computer complete with a $3000 VR setup? Hmmmm
