  • I'm a 37 yr old moto racer from Oklahoma! Much love to older dirt bike riders and racers
  • I’m 63 and have had 14 bikes! Street, dirt, and enduro! I’ve had some bad car accidents in the past! Borderline disabled but still won’t quit! Looking for a 450 Honda to putter around on at the farm! I was with you all the way brother, cheering you on!!!

I’m 58 and really enjoying your insight and video. At 57 I got a KDX200 and did my 1st Race at Prairie City GP. 4 getoffs, dead last. Collar Bone out of joint. HAD a BALL! Will do it again!!! Keep the vids coming Greg

I’ve not been near a bike in many years but at age 69 I still dream of sitting on a starting line all psyched up along with 30 other screaming 2 strokes. It never goes away.

I'm very proud of you my brother! 61 and looking for a dirt bike over winter. I have made up my mind I am going for race again!

This was a good watch and I really appreciate your posting it! "Knife to a gunfight" is right! Great run on the 240, too! I raced Vet World's at GH in 2021 and it was truly the hardest race weekend I have ever experienced, including having raced Mammoth MX a couple of times back on the 2000's where you simply can't breathe! But enough about that, I really liked your talking about why we do it more than anything else. I ask myself that all the time. I'm 59 years old and racing in the 60+ Novice class (at Glen Helen) on Jan 7. I've raced 50+ for, you guessed it, about 10 years and never won a race. I'm both excited and nervous about it, like anytime I line up. and it should go great. But it could also not go great. The great mystery. I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself, and I will keep trying. What a sport. Thanks again, and when I hear that horn, I'm sure I'll know what to do! -Midpack Mike

Great video, you really summed up what it's like to be into MX. I am 58, still ride and can still turn a decent lap time. I just wish I had more time and money.

I enjoy your race videos and like the commentary. At 57, I'm enjoying riding dirt bikes more than ever. Not in race shape yet but this gives me inspiration!

  • @SteveKiziak
Great Video! Im so inspired when I watch older guys at my local track up here in Vancouver B.C. I thought I was to old to get back into moto at 50, but here I am now 53 and so stoked for the season to begin! Keep'n it safe and having a ball!!
  • @Lee-mx5li
Great heartfelt video, I truly valued it as I raced Motocross in early '70's, thus Thank You for sharing
  • Awesome. I am turn 37 on February 20th and have been out of riding and racing since 2010 and I miss it so much! I gave up as I had some issues with my diabetes and also could not afford her hurt and miss work. I know work in law enforcement and have coverage if God for bid I do get hurt. And video like this really help and make me excited to get back after it!! Thank you!!!
  • I don't race anymore but at 62 I still enjoy a 75mi rip in the desert w my grandkids n there friends.rock on.

  • @daveernst4047
Great video! I really want to race the Vet Nationals. Just to say I did it. I'm 64 now and realize how difficult this race is. I've always wanted to ride the Glen Helen track. You totally inspire me by your ride. I can't believe you did it on a Honda 230 even with all the modifications. Well done! 💪🏼🏁Oh and I like the car horn...🤣
  • I'm also 62,I raced pro back in the 80's,I won 2 125 Quebec provincal championships in Canada and finished 2nd and 3rd in the 250 class in 1984-85,I also did the montreal and Toronto and Vancouver supercross races, you can see a clip of the Toronto one,but you are right about the training, you have to be in shape just to ride,I can't run 8 miles in 56 minutes anymore or do 50 push ups(I do 25),my hips and knees are not that good anymore and I get numbness in my hands after 10 min, doctor says I have carpial tunnel problems, anyways I kept 1 250,and I have that bike in my basement with my trophys,I still have 5 bikes,in my house an 85 250,94 250 and 3 kx 450's an 07,10 and an 18,I still ride but don't race anymore,I hope for you that you do keep riding, its good to still have something at our than sitting around doing nothing waiting to die,I really respect people like you because you know how hard it is,and you did that race on an underpowed and poorly suspended bike! wow! My last racing season was 1997 I finished 3rd in the plus 35 vet pro class championship ,on my 94 kx 250,
  • @budshea2862
Really enjoyed it. You summed up my experiences as the same as yours.
