In 1992’s Goof Troop, we were introduced to a brand-new Disney character who would go on to become a long-time fan-favourite – Max Goof, son of Goofy. But did you know that Max spawned from a character introduced in the Goofy cartoons way back in the 1950s? Goofy Junior. In this video, we celebrate Max Goof, as I explore his history, inception, and evolution over seven decades.

Excellent history on Max, he’s one of my favorites in the Mickey Mouse universe and it really stinks that he appear less and less in media, but I’m very happy that he’s still got a very dedicated fanbase. Max Goof's last appearance in the animated film was back in December 2004. But the mascot still lives in Disneyland and Disney World.
