Eren is one of the best written characters

I love that Eren became and showed the world what an actual DEVIL OF PARADIS truly looks like. He basically shouldered all of the eldian's sins just for them to be saved. Even as a villain, he's still the hero...

There's a reason Eren repeated that him and Reiner are the same after Reiner broke down and confessed. What's eating away at Reiner is the fact that he was not "just following orders", it was absolutely his own decision to move forward with the plan. "If only I hadn't known such people existed, I wouldn't have become such a half-assed piece of shit" (Reiner Season 2 Episode 6 right before transforming) This is Reiner realizing that even after he met the people of Paradis, even after befriending them and realizing they weren't the devils he thought they were, he STILL chose to kill them. His guilt doesn't stem from the fact that he hadn't known any better, it's the fact that he knew what he was doing is wrong yet still decided to push forward, killing innocent people for his own selfish reasons. And that's exactly why Eren was relieved by this confession. Reiner wasn't being brainwashed or pushed into doing what he did and neither was Eren. "I was right, I'm the same as you. I think we were born this way." Neither of them understand why they are the way they are. Reiner is overwhelmed by guilt and thinks it's simply because he's "a worthless piece of shit", but (at this point in the series) we still don't know how Eren truly feels. This Eren quote sums it up perfectly: "...But there was something pushing us all along, causing us to step right into hell. For most of us, that something isn't of our own will. We're forced to by others, or by our environment. But the kind of hell seen by people who push themselves into it is something else. They also see something beyond that hell. Maybe it's hope. Maybe it's yet another hell. I don't know which is is. The only people who do know... are the ones who keep moving forward." That's why the Reiner/Eren dynamic is one of my favorites in the series.
  • 5:48 right here we all knew he really said it from the beginning. Eren keeps his words until the end...

The complexity of Eren's character makes it even more interesting

Now the story has come full circle, Its not just a story but his story from start to finish
  • He isn't fighting for honour, he's fighting for freedom and no matter who he has to kill for that he'll do it, best character out of big 4
  • @Achiesamablog
Now that I think of it, Reiner seems to have known what Eren is capable of long before us.
  • 1:53 I never realized those quotes from season 1 could actually fit Eren now! Good catch!

Eren never changed. That's what made him a great character. Isayama already made so much hinta of him being the same all this time. No sane child would go to 3 kidnappers, kill all 3 and plan a deadly strategy to do it. Remember when he also first transformed and they're being interrogated with a cannon aiming at them, he had such a creepy-ass face. Same when he said that he'd make Reiner and Bert suffer the worst way possible. The only difference is he knew the future and lost hope. But every single thing he's doing, is what he would've done even without knowing the future

Season 4 has the AOT essence but has developed a lot since season 1, it’s crazy. This amv deserves to blow up
  • @chubbypanduh2377
AoT in general, and Eren specifically is the best written story and character in any story I have ever read/watched. He sacrificed everything including himself to achieve true freedom for all Eldians, even the ones who tried to kill him. He is the greatest hero/villain ever. A perfectly written character

Eren and Floch they really fought for the people of Eldia They were the real kings I will miss them...RIP....
  • @Leunamm_
"I hope the trailer doesn't spoil the movie" The trailer:
  • No matter how strong, for a human to fight a monster means he has submerged his humanity and transformed himself into a greater monster… that is what happened to Eren.. When the dreams of a man crumbles.. he is destroyed with it and crippled until he breaks from his true-self turning into something anew.. something that the world has never been ready to experience
  • @Darex718
Eren in s2"I bet in the history of mankind, nobody's done anything as terrible as you." Eren in s4 "I will write my own history!"
  • @JiggyJiggy21
True example of: "The hardest choices require the strongest wills."
  • This is awesome, man ... Your hard work shows and i love the transitions and you helping us understand eren's perspective here was done flawlessly
