  • A ko company had actually made a ko oversized superion similarly to this defensor, jujiang jet commander. The quality is really good and still holds together incredibly well and has not yellow on my copy which is impressive considering on how long ago it had been made

The final form has quite the presence I gotta say. That chest upgrade kit takes him from sad to chad.
  • @EJFreelancer
“You’re a rescue combiner, you do not need double gat.” Maybe he’s a rescue combiner in Mogadishu.
  • Fun Fact: IDW Comics introduced Deceptigod, a combiner consisting of OVER 1000 CYBERTRONIANS
  • @shinzero0271
Well, you made me want this. Main downside is that I just finished Legacy Menasor last week (Dead End didn't want to be on store shelves) so I'm definitely going to want an upscale of him as well.
  • Ratchets on the limb-bot legs are a godsend. Generation Selects combines suffers from this given they actually have guns! If they improve the Hot Spot mold further for Onslaught I would happily buy a Combaticon/Bruticus set.
  • @ZenoXsinz
This upgrade to Defensor is based on C+ Customs upgrade they did for combiner wars Defensor and Victorion.
  • I want to point out, the way that the whole thing had been redesigned is actually based on the C plus customs upgrade kit for combiner wars defensor, there was also one for Victorion so demon knight might possibly make her as well as superion since they seem to have the alpha bravo Head
  • The more I get these KOs, the more I prefer them over the originals. I recently got KO Sideswipe and it’s awesome af. I ended up ordering Red Alert, Hound, and then Hun-Grrr to finally complete the Terrorcons. I don’t like how tiny and underwhelming the transformers are these days. Not only does inflation jack up the prices, each size scale is half the size of their 90s counterparts, and the plastic feels cheap.

Legacy still slaps though. Can’t wait for more
  • My definitive version of the Protectobots is Maketoys Guardia. I love that it resembles G1 Defensor but it has that awesome 3rd party stylization. It's a masterpiece. As are all of the combiners that Maketoys makes.
  • @contygoat
I've been really debating getting these oversized kos, the only issue is I have legacy menasor and I am a huge scale nut so I want it to scale with him (with upgrade kit) and so far I haven't found anything other then a predaking that's 2 cm shorter but it still works

You should try out the jinbao warbotron bruticus. Its really solid and about the size of my black zarrak. you can find them around 80-140 depending on if they have the box. Highly recommend!

First timer here. Very entertaining....nice and honest review. PS. I'm ordering this now as a result of your review. It'll replace the spot currently occupied by the Ark, so nice to know we're on the same page there. :)
  • Combiner Wars was amazing for its time. Literally wave after wave of recognizable faces mixed with plenty of new ones. Those repaints on the other hand were just out of control. Still grinds my gears that the combiner limbs in the Liokaiser set suffered from mold fatigue despite a couple figures only being repainted 2 or 3 times compared to the Deadend mold
  • Okay Tfsafari is one of the main places to go for upgrade kits. The thing to note is ist's a over sized combiner wars version and upgrade C+ customs kit which made ofr a large combiner to begin with this scales upto MP scale combiner.
  • @Sigma_Vehnke
I actually have the original original Groove from Combiner Wars - he's a legend class figure that made a chest piece, even though I never got any of the rest of the set.
  • @Boomtox
Well I wasn't expecting to buy a titan sized combiner today but here we are.
  • They really needed to just remake the whole Hot Spot mold, like that 3P that tried to make a new Motormaster for the CW Combaticons back in the day
