    I got my peeler from him 15+ yrs ago for $5, still sharp as the day I got it after regular use. RIP dude.
  • I have seen this man in NYC for years , he was a great guy , nice person. I watched him sell this product for years on NYC corners , he always had on a smile and a customer with cash in his hand waiting to buy . RIP , NYC hero .

    this guy was amazing. I used to see him near my office in Manhattan. One day he would sell vegetable peelers, the next day it would be children's books. It was always the same reaction. he would draw a huge crowd and then people would just start buying. I saw a short news story about his life on CBS. He was actually quite well off financially, living in a beautiful place near Park Ave (and help paying for his children / grand children's college educations). He always worked for himself selling items on the street, for decades.
