I found a strange and rugged landscape while searching Google Earth. This region has harbored ancient civilizations and mysteries of the past. Wanting to further investigate and explore, I backpacked into this desert landscape, to see what might be hidden within. #ancientdiscoveries #exploration #hiking #googleearth

I am sitting here suffering as my terminal lung disease slowly takes my life away and I want you to know that watching your videos brings amazement and a calming comfort to me. The things you show us in your journeys are all true wonders of life. Thank you for easing my struggle or at least distracting me from my suffering. Maybe someday you will understand how much your videos mean and do for people like me. Thank you very much. Live a very long life and make thousands more videos.

Best part of this whole video besides the amazing night shots of the stars is…no trash, no signs of human presence. Simply stunning!!! Great job on this adventure!

The special strength of this video is that the idea of the hike is not to go from place A to place B, but the trip is based solely on how the landscape itself speaks to you. It is important that you try to tell the viewers what the landscape brings to your mind. So far, I haven't found anything similar. Thank you!

What really gets me is the petrified logs you came across. They look like they were cut with a saw rather then a natural fall from splitting.

If this landscape was used in a movie everyone would think it looks an obviously phony set made from paper mache and spray foam. I can't believe this exists on this planet, let alone in this country. Just about the coolest thing I have ever seen. Thank you for bringing it to us.

a landscape straight from a Dali painting and those stars are incredible, just incredible

Instantly fascinated. That landscape leaves nothing hidden. In the Colorado front range there are a ton of mysterious rocks as well… cool stuff

Due to medical malpractice I am confined to a bed in a longterm care facility unable to walk or get out of it. Due to medical negligence my poor wife's brain was damaged and she lost most of her memory. She is committed in another long term care facility. Both of us loved to explore. She loved to camp. I wish she could watch these. For those of us in such circumstances videos like these restore our adventures, enliven our lives, and fill us with wonder. Thank you!
  • Thank you for touching the petrified wood scraps so that we could hear them tinkle. That is what aged them for me!!!

Proof the desert was once a rain forest. Incredible video. You are amazing. Thank you
  • @rondakudrna2054
Crazy, amazing landscape: frozen dragons, walking on Grape Nuts, giant prettified trees. Also, I have no Idea how you could sleep out there alone, not on this one. Thanks for the adventure!

Most of us are unable to get to these remote places. You're adventures have allowed us to see things we'd never get to see. This is major movie material.

Brother, I’ve been on YouTube for years and years and seen a lot of different shows a lot of different programs and your content by far is the most interesting and captivating to me. I thank you for taking us with you and on your adventure. Safe travels my friend.

    Night-time photography was awesome!

This landscape is even more surreal than Bryce Canyon, Utah. It feels like you left planet earth 🌏 Your night photography was amazing.
  • All I can think of is this is definitely the aftermath of a LOT of water flooding the area and eventually dissipating. It totally looks like dried mud that gets occasional flash flooding. Reminds me a lot of a place called Kodachrome Canyon we went through almost 50 years ago. So beautiful and surreal!

As a 70s kid, I watched a LOT of Road Runner & Wile E Coyote cartoons... and always assumed that the crazy landscapes were the result of 60s induced psychedelics... this is simply stunning, brother...!! Thanks and be safe... 👋🇨🇦🙂
  • @ui4287
I love that you follow your intuition when exploring... like following the owls and letting nature show itself through its family... just brilliant!
  • @Puzekat2
The most expressive earth and rock I have seen in a long time. It’s beautiful.
  • @bowwiz
Mister, I can't walk and spend my days in a wheelchair. Thanks for getting me out into the desert. I really enjoy hiking with you.... Keep on doing this. It's working for me!
