  • I have never ever left a comment anywhere, check if you want, but this girls passion and genuine care for others and the amount of her very own time she gives to us for us was too much for me to watch one more video and not thank her. So..with all my heart, Thank you soooo much for being you Dr. Shereene Idriss!!!!

I am so tired of that "chemical-free, clean beauty" branding. My friend got bamboozled by that. He bought a moisturizer that got moldy within 2 weeks because it had no preservatives in its ingredients.

I appreciate these so much. So sick of the false promises and fear mongering. Thank you for always telling it like it is and educating us! 💚
  • I am always impressed how one can be a full time derm, create informative youtube content consistently, and still have the time to create a brand or product line. Many congratulations Dr. Shireen. :)
  • @Bells_Ville
This woman is a truth teller😂 A teller of truth.
  • @TheFlip_Side
I love how truthful you are yet very respectful and professional at the same time. I appreciate everything I have learned from you from watching your channel. I missed your very first video but have been following you from your second video on and love what I am learning from you. Thank you!

Years ago, I was definitely victim to “clean beauty” and messed up a routine that was working for me in favor of “clean” products. I also fell into the HA trap. I had two products full of it in my routine, and my facial skin was literally peeling off in huge chunks.
  • Congratulations on your Skincare line! 🎉 I have a question: will products will be available for EU citizens? Love your philosophy and would be so interested in purchasing your creations 🤩
  • Love your style of delivery! You always make me smile, especially when you're talking about BS in skincare. We need someone to speak up and say the TRUTH! Thank you for your channel 😊

As a copywriter, I can say that many of these claims violate FDA and FTC guidelines for advertising claims. For example, saying something erases dark circles would be a drug claim, meaning that product would have to go through the drug approval, process to prove said claim. So many brands overstate things either because they aren’t aware or think they can get away with misinformation.

I love ur sense of humour... I just enjoy listening to ur detailed explanation without making it boring. Very informative and also entertaining at the same time 👍
  • This is so great. Thank you for making this video. I have plenty of family and friends who have fallen victim to the “clean beauty” trend. Keep fighting the good fight. I’m so excited about the product launch. Just take all my money now!! 😉
  • @coya8coy175
Given the fact I can’t use HA and you’ve spoken about how you prefer glycerin in your videos, I’m excited to peak at your products. Nearly everything has HA in it 😩
  • @giuliac9735
Congratulations on launching your own line!!!!! 👏👏 You are smart, hardworking, funny and loving, such an inspiration! (And I love the sweater by the way)
  • You sound like a lawyer..... always backing up your conclusions with facts and explanations. I love listening to you!😇💜💜💜
  • Being an older woman (68) and trying to battle years of skin neglect, in general, and drooping pores and wrinkles (way past the fine line stage), I have been following Dr. Idriss' information and find it so beneficial. That said, I have been following her influence to do some deep diving into how to increase collagen to help plump up the underlying structure of the skin ("Who doesn't want more collagen"). I came across the following information from a study and would love other's opinions on if I'm interpreting the study correctly. In a nutshell, over the years I have used Vital Proteins powder additive to my morning coffee (off and on) and have never really experienced any improvement. I'll link the study below, but what I got out of it was: caffeine inhibits collagen synthesis in skin. So, adding it to my morning (caffeine loaded) coffee is most likely cancelling the effect I was after. Additionally, digging deeper into the Vital Protein powder, it claims to contain 8 of the 9 essential amino acids. Okay, why not all 9 (logical question on my part)? It's missing tryptophan ... most commonly the cause of dozing off after the Thanksgiving bird. But Milk and chocolate syrup do contain a small amount. So, as an experiment, I've changed to decaf coffee and tea, still use the Vital Proteins in the morning cup and am enjoying a large cup of warm milk/chocolate syrup in the afternoons. I guess only time will tell if there's any improvement, but wonder what others might think about the caffeine/collagen aspect. Here's the link to the study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4206198/#:~:text=Conclusion,synthesis%20in%20human%20skin%20fibroblasts.

Congratulations on your skincare line! Hope this can be available in the Philippines!
  • @rubymars5493
Omg thank you Dr Idriss! Some other derms are bragging about medical grade products like they can do magic on your skin!

Hi Shereene! Could you please do a video on treatments such as lasers or peelings for hyperpigmentation? We benefited so much from your wisdom on things we can do at home but I’d like to know what more can be done. Also you did a few videos of such treatments but you were talking about lasers that target a number of different things, but you said that we need to focus on the issue we want to tackle, so if I want to tackle hyperpigmentation would you recommend a laser? Which one (s)? Or is it better some sort of dermoabrassion? Do lasers work for all hyperpigmentation ‘types’? Like I have light brown spots due to sun damage (lentigo), would a laser work or it’s just to stick to hydroquinone? Thank you!!! You are the best!
  • You are a breath of fresh air!!!! It's getting harder to cut through all the BS with so many claims in the industry :( At 61 I would love a video on your thoughts for "already" aged skin lol. Not much out there from dr's on treating/maintaining skin for woman over 60! Thank you so much for all your information:) Well done!
