Types of locks you'll find in an escape room. My favorite is the retina scan lock!!

Is it good that we have like another 10,000 locks in the back?
  • Great video =) It is very helpful for beginners, a lot of people never saw some types of locker, let alone use them . All the best wishes from Serbia
  • I’m getting so excited about all the possibilities in my Spanish classroom. I won a grant and now have an escape room kit. Now I’m realizing the kit wasn’t that extensive. I wish I’d watched you first and also realized the kit was overpriced. Maybe I’ll apply for another grant to add some cool extra locks and such. And I realize that my 80s diary with its little padlock and cheap gold key would work for this. But I don’t want my students to read it! LOL. You could do all kinds of things with a locking journal. Getting inspired with your content. I have written a plan after they finish their jungle Spanish novel to free the main character who will be locked in a cage I think. It will combine treasure hunt clues and puzzles and word chunks they must put together. They must have knowledge of the books for a lot of it. Feeling good. Thanks for help!
  • My covert companion would blow through these locks in no time.

I’ve thought about using one of the clear acrylic locks, hiding a torsion wrench and a lockpick elsewhere, and having something else start a short lockpicking tutorial video on a loop. BE A REAL LOCKPICKER TO ESCAPE!

I've just purchased a lock like your second one (the copper coloured word lock). On mine its not clear at what rotation to input the code... Where does yours take the code?
  • Hate the cryptex - not mechanically, but immersion wise, a lot of rooms use one, and it is usually out of place, and completely unnecessary .

Can you do a follow up video with the boxes you can use still?? 😅

Would one be allowed to bring lockpicks and shims into an escape room. Smash through all those locks in seconds :)
