I also can vouch for the skull and co grip. Have it for my OLED and it's very comfortable, has swappable grips and fits in the dock with NO bulging. Seems to be easier to find in the UK too.

The title of this video should have been: "Alex used to have trouble getting it in"

I've had one of these since the Ronin came out, and i love every part of it. Especially having the 2 cartridge slots, they have a solid click, and you kinda need your fingernail to take them out, but it's very secure, and way better than going to the game case to change games. I also recommend the Elite case, holds a portable battery pack in the bottom, right angle cable to charge in the case, plus a top pouch that can hold more joycon, those slim 8bitdo controllers, and genki dock and cables

The fact that the kickstand doesnā€™t work and that it might scuff the deck is a deal breaker for me. I mostly use my OLED in tabletop mode with a controller.

Alex, you always make such great reviews. Thank you. I play my Switch, primarily, in handheld mode. I love using the Hori Pro Grip thing controllers (I canā€™t remember that whole ā€œmouth saladā€ of a title). But you are always there to give us new insight.

I have the nitrodeck and Iā€™m happy with that, itā€™s my favorite and I find it the most comfortable, I have the same satisfye grip you have the one you can see through and me personally I donā€™t find it comfortable and makes my hands feel awkward idk why. I also just canā€™t use the normal joycon sticks anymore they are to small and I like the nitrodeck or I also use the wizard gamecube style controller sometimes from nyxi and itā€™s not the best but I love the buttons. Is the ronin more comfortable then the regular satisfye grip.

Satisfye makes a grip that is designed specifically for the OLED that works a lot better than shoving your OLED into the regular one. It kinda sucks because I had to buy another grip, but now I have a grip for all my Switches.
  • Got a NYXI controller to solve this docking problem. The switch stays ā€œcomfortableā€ in dock mode and when it is outside the NYXI ensures the grip and comfort to play long sessions. And it also has L4 and R4 programmable buttons.

Thank you for this video, as I had no idea this existed! Love Satisfye and have been using the grips for years. Gonna have to pick one up!

I use Spigen Thin Fit case for my Switch oled, it gives a little bit of grip and fits nicely both in dock and official hardshell travel case from Hori
  • @gekko524
There is only 1 problem with the switch that remains and that is that we canā€™t play ā€žDoshin the Giantā€œ on itšŸ˜ŠšŸŽ®ā¤ļø
  • I dock my switch with an extension cable and metal stand...no chance to scratch it and it looks clean

They don't actually have to get rid of the cartridge storage slots, just manufacture little rubber plugs that go in there. In fact, they don't even have to do that themselves; anyone interested in selling accessories can manufacture those.
  • I have one of these grips itā€™s a game changer as I suffer with carpal tunnel in my hands and this just makes it so much more comfortable xxx
  • If it had a magnetic flip cover that you can attach and detach it would truly be perfect for me.
  • @RideorDieGaM
I have bought two of the satsifye grips and they wind up leaving kind of an eraser trail on the back of the switch from the rubber bumpers. I just switched to using the hori compact joycon replacements and it's solved all my problems. Weighs less too.
  • @CorbyCave
I tried an insert style grip like this, and it was okay, but part of my problem is the size of the buttons and joysticks on the original joycons, so I use a Hori Split Pad Pro, so I get the full sized buttons and sticks.
