Amazing. Apple+ wouldn't let him talk about China or AI. He quits. Comes back to The Daily Show. First words out of his mouth? "We're gonna talk about China. We're gonna talk about AI.". A giant hole in the center of American satire has just been filled once again. Thank you, Jon. Thank you for filling our hole.

All hail the king! JON STEWART IS BACK! ❤❤❤❤
  • @ervinmiracle
I had to come back here today because I keep reading about criticism of this episode (oddly from the left). Jon, and everybody else at the Daily Show, please keep doing what you are doing. A sane, rational look at the ABSURDITY of our times is exactly what we need. Thank you.

"Now, where was I?" chills, literal chills
  • THIS is how you return to a show. Utterly seamless. "Where was I" was a perfect encapsulation of it all.

When we needed him most, he returned. Like Gandalf The White.

This is so poignant and well delivered with humor and a real message. This is what our news anchors should be giving us. We should be able to voice criticisms of elected or campaigning officials w/o fear of being labeled one thing or another.

Growing up watching J Stew with my dad was one of my favorite things to do before bed. I’ll have to get together with him to watch an episode again! Glad you’re back Jon 💯

It's like our dad who went out to buy smokes 20 years ago suddenly came back

It's like seeing an old friend for the first time in years and he's still got the same awesome energy and sense of humor. I'm so glad Jon Stewart is here to help us through what may be the literal end of America.

"They are the oldest people ever to run for president breaking, by only 4 years, the record that THEY SET!" 😂
  • @trashcandy.
i tried to temper my expectations for this, but he actually nailed it. it's like he never left.

I've been watching Colbert disintegrate into mockery of sounds and optics for a long time now. It is extremely refreshing getting Stewart's sharp wit back into the game.
