I decided it would be fitting to build this Hawaiian Airlines papercraft in honour of those affected by the August 2023 Hawaiian wildfires. Although the peak of the devastation occurred nearly a month ago, just looking at the images gives a good sense of how devastating these fires were to the island community. The reparation process will certainly be a long one. On that account, just a small donation from as many viewers as possible will certainly speed up the overall recovery process, and would be greatly appreciated! ALL donations go to the Hawaii Community Foundation, and given directly to those in need from the wildfire damage.

But anyways, enjoy this timelapse video of me building a Boeing 717 from complete scratch items found in a common household, in the beautiful Hawaiian Airlines livery! How was every detail made?     If anybody wants other possibly simpler design ideas, you could use a cut up section of a pool noodle, that way you have a solid fuselage and you can stick wires through it to hold the wings up. Then all you do is put paper over it. Another good idea I had when making one was for the cockpit, I went and bought a fitting foam egg. All I had to do was cut it in half but depending on the circumstances, you may have to shape it a little more. Then just cover in more paper, draw a design and your done

    4:14 That is an interesting fact, I always thought McDonnell Douglas and Boeing were still two different companies. Also the plane is amazing! It makes me want to make one of my own.
