Making the Lorraine 40 T Shine Despite Its Age in World of Tanks!

the real problem is, you usually only have time to fire two shots in the lorraine. rarely do you ever fire all 4 at the same opponent, and if you do it's a high-commitment trade. with the borat, you just fire 1-2 shots and reload for 20s. super flexible, low commitment/risk. furthermore, borat has better camo, mobility, alpha damage, inter-clip and clip reload time as well as being smaller

I've always thought the Lorr was a good, balanced vehicle, but the stat websites say its winrate is kind of garbage. I guess it's hard to play a tier 8 medium that isn't Borat or Progetto.

I adore my lorr. 40t, extremely hard vehicle to play in the current meta of WoT, but man does it make you think and I prefer that to hulldown cupola sniping. Was one of my first three marks aswell so I may be a bit biased.

The lorr is a bit of a pickle. It has no armor, its huge and has a gun that encourages to play from a mid to close range. But that's where its strength also is. It is mobile, even backwards :D Its an autoloader that teaches you positional gameplay and reload timers. Compared to the progetto it sacrifices gunhandling for a bigger gun and one of the most underrated aspects, penetration. The french 100mm is around the top of it's tier in terms of base pen so it rarely requires you to load gold. And if so you still get one of the best medium tank apcr pens on its tier. Which also adds to it's selling point.

Man i still remember playing the OG Lorr. 40t when it was a T9 MT, glorious times. It was such a fun tank to platoon in. Only down side to it was that it's a french tank, and by that I mean that the gun is notoriously troll, you either hit every shot or miss everyshot fully aimed.

Maybe you will make video about LIS? It's currently available in trade-in event and last dedicated video with this tank was back in 2022. :)

I like Lorraine because it’s very nice when it works. You can spot if you need, clip and pen is nice, mobility is great and only issues are armour and gun handling. Feels like a mix between 50B and 25t.

The 40t has the best sounding gun in the entire game.

Should the ammo not be rated like 4 stars?

The game is lagging quite a bit for me too for some weeks and don't know why either

Lorr. is magical for me and you can see it in skills battles. Although the gun doesn't treat you good all the time the damage is just stacking up. I like autoloaders but I never felt 100 % comfortable with Lorr. Still I have 2.8k WN8 after 130 battles with 59 % WR and 2k DPG. I don't know, Lorr. just has a punch.

Lol last time i have played the Loraine, it was a tech tree tank just before Bat Chat 25t, actually that one, the tech tree tier 9 that i played, that one i loved it!!! It was preety strong medium at that time... unfurtunatly i had to sold it to get my 1st tier 10 tank, lol ( and back then this one was a beast!!!), my still loved Bat Chat!! (These days it is a shadow from its glorious past... but i still love it.)

The Lorraine wheels look like normal inflatable wheels covered with tracks, same as the Lorr arties too. Does that means Lorr. can move even after being detracked?

I loved this tank on tier 9, he was nice and kind of ok, not great but still it was pleasant expierience

Better dpm or more accuracy and maybe +10m viewrange. This would be solid tank.

I want to love this tank, but it should be called Stormtrooper, seeing that it misses every shot….
