Tyler is a prime example of why directions were written.
  • Tyler: I don't know i might be wrong but All of us: yup you're wrong
  • @yanlogan
At 9:47 you can actually see the marshmallow becoming smaller
  • I'm pretty sure the canning thing isn't meant to make a huge vacuum, just one that's enough to keep the jar/can closed.

As an owner of the bissel green machine, it is incredible. You also did not use it correctly at all lmao
  • Anything between -5 and -10 is plenty to preserve food. Most canning items have liquids, so it's less air to be removed, so yes -5 is enough of a vacuum to preserve food

  • Learning that preserving things in jars is called "canning" was a jarring experience 🤣
  • Okay, so -5 bar is sufficient to vacuum seal a mason jar for food preservation. You have to understand that the mason jars are intended to be filled all the way up to just below the rim, so there's very little air to begin with remaining in the jar when you preserve food. The intended purpose of this vacuum sealer is to remove a very small volume of air, and you're doing tests with a relatively much higher volume in comparison to the intended use.

Tyler: I don’t know how to test a cup, so I’m just gonna toss it into a fire Me: seems legit
  • I have the little green vacuum, if you hold the hose closer and scrub while your spraying, it won’t be as wide. I also use oxy clean dissolved in water instead of the cleaner it comes with and it works on carpet stains really well, less scrubbing.

Tyler ruined a pricless piece of art with the Bissel. The marshmallow first expands under vacuum as its internalized atmosphere escapes, and then shrinks again. Releasing the vacuum allows the air pressure to further compress the marshmallow. Fun experiment.

22:05 LOL I was literally going to say you could use the weed puller to pull it out. I thought the handle would still be there too.
  • @Yea-okk
It's enough for canning bc canning isn't the same as vacuum sealing. Canning almost always includes liquid, so the gadget has very little air to remove.
  • @luisillo1987
We missed out on the best part, you trying get the cup out of the 🔥. 😂
  • @gatorb8
If I'm not mistaken it's the boiling process that makes the canning last so long as it kills off all the bacteria and the sealing process is to confirm it's sealed.
  • @NinjAsylum
So from what I know about canning and vacuum sealing food. That device isnt really meant for 'long term' or permanent storage like you would use for preserving food. Its made more for making your food last a little longer than normal. Its basically a 'vacuum sealer' but for Jars. As long as you know that before using it, its a pretty good product. Just dont expect what you put in it to last for years. Just Months.
  • You should test the muddy water with the water filters you have.🤣
