Morpheus's glasses should have won their own Oscar for this movie.
-
The more this ages, the more realistic it becomes
-
"There are fields, Neo endless fields... where human beings are no longer born. We are grown." That sent chills down my spine.
-
Lawrence Fishburne is literally so perfectly casted for this movie. He plays his part so well.
-
Laurence Fishburne is perfect as Morpheus, excellent job casting him.
-
"We marveled at our own magnificence... " Always liked that line
-
One of the greatest scenes in movie history, that only becomes more and more meaningful as time passes...
-
The way Morpheus unapologetically states the way things really are in this scene, without sympathy or any restraint, unfolding all of this horror, that in my opinion is what make this scene so memorable.
-
This entire scene is a master class of exposition in film, brilliantly written and of course brilliantly delivered by Lawrence Fishburne
-
Greatest Duracell commercial in the History 😎

The funny thing is that with AI tech on the rise, is that Morpheus's line "We marveled at our own magnificence as we gave birth to AI" fits humans today since so many people are using AI for so many things like writing papers, doing art, and even voice generation.

for all of you too young to have seen this in theaters, imagine watching this in 1999 on the big screen. It was absolute insanity
-
Movie was light years ahead of its time.
-
2 decades later and still kicks ass, probably schools in 2099 will include this movie in history/art lessons.
-
I always found the loading construct intro so cool. You expect to hear echoes, footsteps or ambient sounds other than their voices, but there is nothing. Even Morpheus sunglasses have no reflection at first because it hasn’t rendered yet. Only when Neo interacts with the chair or when the tv turns on you hear sound effects.

This movie is a timeless masterpiece.
-
His reaction after he got unplugged seemed pretty on point. If someone were to genuinely experience that, I imagine they'd pass out from pure shock.
-
Neo’s nervous breakdown is oddly funny. He did a good job freaking out.
-
I think it's safe to say just about anyone would react this way upon the realisation that the world they thought they knew has actually been turned into a hell hole. Neo's reaction is a perfect blend of not just disbelief but also shock, panic, anger and horror.

My favourite movie of all time... The concept
