“I didn’t fall apart, but I wanted too. I didn’t have the time to cry” What a woman

This woman overwhelms me. Was ever there someone with such grace and courage?
  • Mamie was a well educated and graceful woman. We need more PEOPLE like her.

Imagine the joyful reunion she had in heaven when she passed and met her son again.

I firmly believe that God gave Emmett’s mother the strength, grace, and dignity that was needed to deal with the murder and burial of her only son! Rest In Peace Emmett!

May her and her baby be in heaven in the name of our heavenly father

What a remarkable woman! She faced an unimaginable tragedy with such intelligence & grace. I’m awed by her courage & strength.

The strength of a Mother! This woman fought for her child , like any Mother would do! She never got Justice for her son. The Department of Justice closed the case. I pray that she and her baby are resting well.
  • How she didn't just end up absolutely despising the world is beyond me. Bless her and Emmit.
  • What pissed me off was who was those ppl to determine to bury her child and seal the casket you don’t make that decision unless you hiding something. Not only do you kill her son but then you take away her chance to say goodbye. I can go on and on!

Nothing stronger than a mother's love! God bless her

“Instead of falling out, I straightened up” That will preach.

  • “Oh no,Ive got a job TO DO!”😭😭😭 you did your Job Mammie. i pray you and emmett find the eternal peace that yall deserve😭
  • I have a fourteen year old grandson and this is so horrible to imagine that these people could be so inhumane as to inflict this upon a child! I was four years old when this happened and it was all the talk in my home and neighborhood. It still effects me only more so. It absolutely breaks my heart. I praise GOD for this woman and her courage! You two reat in Paradise as you well deserve!

Listen to her at 0:45. Listen to the strength, the poignancy! She had been through so much, all she had was strength. My heart is literally breaking listening to her speak.
  • Remembering without hate. Only the Holy Spirit could make this possible. She and her son are at peace now. How could we ever forget what they endured? We are standing on their shoulders. I will never forget their sacrifice!
