Sometimes I think that Dust and Alter change places just to mess with us!
-
I didn’t realize this was THAT “Psychosis” until about 40 seconds in, I love that story.
-
I read this story YEARS ago and it's always stuck with me. I even randomly thought about it a couple of days ago! As this film went on and I slowly realized what I was watching, I got chills. This hit all the right points the original story did, and completely did it justice. I can't believe it's a short film now!

Just because you're paranoid , doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

“How can we trust our eyes if they’re not real.” -Some really high kid.
-
As somebody who suffered a psychotic episode in my teens, this hit me really hard.
-
Gotta admit I was holding out for a happy ending until 10:50
-
Boy, that escalated quickly. I mean that really got out of hand fast.
-
Thank you DUST for posting our film on your incredible channel!

Well, that was absolutely horrifying. Exquisitely made and gripping from start to finish. Just give it a #horror tag, because it's way after bedtime, and I feel like I should have been warned about this nightmare fuel.

Between waiting for seasons of Black Mirror, I hang out here on Dust...

This was a really good short but now My eyes hurt
-
Bloody hell I loved that, except for the bit with the eyes, that was completely horrific and awful. This is the darkest short film I've seen so far from DUST. Must be pure torture for people who really have that condition. Psychosis seems like THE worst form of depression and anxiety all rolled into one, like it's impossible for someone to live in the present and make sense of anything. A constant nightmare that you can't wake up from.

Gratuitous plagiarism. You guys just recorded my life on a hidden camera. I know you're watching me. I'm always one step ahead.
-
Wow, you did a great job keeping it faithful to the story, I had no idea it was made into a film until about half an hour ago. Glad I watched!

Lacking the vocabulary to describe our experiences, and lacking a formal training in reasoning can lead to psychosis. For example: When dreaming do we see and hear things? When awake, do we have dream like experiences? What if we develop a vocabulary (e.g. "sensory analogs" to vision and hearing) and use it to describe what our conscious mind perceives? Would we still prescribe chemicals to patients? Descartes meditations is a great reading on our senses and experiences. A branch of philosophy called "metaphysics" asks us to ask what is real. A formal training in logic, and a vocabulary may be a better treatment for the mind than chemicals. Something to consider! 🥰

This movie could make a paranoid person lose it lmao that ending caught me off guard

It helps me to understand psychosis more
