Top-tier video. Thanks for spreading the word. πŸ‘

Showed this to my lady (she's iPhone, I'm android.) and she was impressed and even wished iMessage had some of these features. ESPECIALLY smart reply. Told her RCS was coming to iPhone in the fall and her main reaction was "so I can see when you're typing and get read receipts??" She was stoked...and that makes ME stoked. Thanks for this.

Cons: 1. For Unread Messages: Both the sender's name and the message content are displayed with the same boldness and font size (Same intensity) which makes it difficult to distinguish between them. 2. Font Customization: The app does not adopt the phone's default font settings, even if a custom font is applied to the entire phone,

I'm glad the OG feature (setting custom colours for contacts) are back
  • @Joshua_Lawrence
Only thing about reactions with iPhones is it doesn't work with media messages, only text (not sure how limited RCS will be, knowing Apple, so unsure if that changes.)

I actually switched to Google messages about a year ago because of the rcs features. Love this app and use it paired on my tablet as well.
  • @hakdaddy
Still waiting for the RCS editing feature

i would have prefer Google adopted the Samsung Messages App interface and then implement their features as Google Messages looks ugly interms of UI.
  • @sbatty65227
I actually use it as a basic message app. The only thing I really use are the spam filters and swipe to delete.
  • @Ladykyra101
Can't react to MMS (pics, gifs, etc), only SMS. Unless there's an option to enable it? πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

I have Google messages and I'm loving it My wife has it and she loves it too so I prefer the Google messages than using Samsung messages I don't like so great video keep them comingπŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
  • I use Google Messages. Although sometimes its easy to swipe away messages especially if you use swipe gestures.

Last time I checked Messages the app lacked a key feature – delayed sending. I'm not writing about scheduled sending. Delayed sending lets you set a delay between taping "Send" and actually sending the message. This way you can re-read your text and abort to change or discard it before it actually gets sent. That's why I still use Textra.
  • There's something wrong with sending voice memos with google messages. And sending short 1 min films takes forever before sending.. I hope that improves
  • @bora3.14

Shakespeare shenanigans is my new favorite form of communication.
  • @OreoDave
Google messages has improved tremendously over the years. Wish they'd add delayed sending (not send later) feature. Cheers.

I didn't know Google message was actually this good
