Frank Ocean performs "Poolside Convo" and "Self Control" at FYF Fest

Frank Ocean appeared at the FYF Fest for his headlining set July 2017, accompanied on stage with several backing musicians as well as a cameo from Brad Pitt. Frank Ocean performed "Self Control" off of his 2016 album, "Blonde," featuring a new verse on the introduction dubbed as "Poolside Convo" on the setlist.

Frank Ocean explained to The New York Times the lyrics to Self Control were autobiographical, reminiscent of a former love- "That was written about someone who I was actually in a relationship with, who wasn't an unrequited situation... It was mutual, it was just we couldn't really relate. We weren't really on the same wavelength,"
