So here's how it works: you pick a number x at the start. Then you make that (2x+5)*50 = 100x + 250. Adding 1772/1771 is one apart to account for the fact that people who haven't had their birthday this year will not have reached the higher age this year. So now we have: 100x + 250 + 1772 = 100x + 2022 (or 2021 when using 1771). This trick only works in 2022 obviously. Now, subtract your birth year. So we have 100x + 2022 - your birth year. I don't think I have to explain why 2022 - your birth year is your age, so this can't even be considered guessing. All that's left is taking away the hundreds place from the answer, which, no surprise, is just 100x again. It's literally just 2022 - your birth year. Duh.
