  • If your a tourist, the more dangerous the area, the better the tacos. Don't aim for non traditional.
  • @ediroswell775
Born & rasied in L.A. been to almost all these places all amazing
  • @SimplyM3h876
This is the reason I miss living near L.A. you have every good food dish from every culture and being next to the Ocean helps make foreign seafood dishes taste very delicious and more fresh.
  • Just saw this video, a few years after the fact. I live in L.A., and you definitely hit some of the hot spots. I do realize that there's so much here, it's impossible to cover every cuisine. So can we just mention the huge number of Chinese restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley? From many difference provinces in China? Some of the best dim sum in the universe. Then there's a big Indian population in L.A., with restaurants in "Little India." You've got Thai Town and Little Ethiopia (injera, anyone?). Little Tokyo and Gardena for amazing, traditional Japanese food. The list goes on and on. Argentinian, Venezuelan, and Salvadoran food. How about food from Nigeria? We've got every ethnicity imaginable, and the restaurants to go along with it. Thank you, Jonathan Gold, for showing us how Los Angeles is one of the best places to eat out in the U.S.

yes, i am blessed to live in a city with such great food. too bad my mom hates eating out lol
  • I live near LA and this was a solid run down! Finally a blog tour that doesn't include Pinks or In-N-Out. Both awesome but there's much more than that. Our Mexican food is the best here in SoCal. I'm coming for that mole!
  • @iChrizillaFM
Thanks for reminding me why I love my city so much

In LA, don’t forget the Chinese food section, from Michelin star Temple City Bistro Na to Arcadia 626 night market and food trucks in monterey park, J town Curry House, Marugame Monzo, try Traxx in grand central station where Blade Runner was shot, Union in Pasadena, wait 2 hours in line for Howling Rey fried chicken in China town, Wako Katsu pork cutlet in K town, better than Tokyo Japanese sandwich Echo Park Konbi and my favorite esquites from Corn Man in Lincoln Height, and oh yeah Vietnamese Phoholic in West Minister. Pink hotdog needs no introduction, right now Hollywood Yamashiro is serving blue luminous ramen, stop by Tao Asian Bistro for a drink and admires the beautiful decor. No budget issue, try $250 per person Culver City Vespertine food journey or Kyoto based Beverly Hills Tempura Endo.

  • You didn't show the line at Porto's that wraps around the block and takes at least half an hour to even order...
  • @sammylane21
I love the lighting in this, makes it look like a professional made show from FOODNETWORK or THE TRAVEL CHANNEL.

Just want to say that a “Traditional”taco can be filled with almost any ingredients. My late mother would make us tacos stuffed with potatoes ,eggs ,squash ,vegetables and chilies etc. She was from Chihuahua Mexico
