They should Identify as biracial. Giving respect to both parents. Just my opinion.

Older biracial identify as black. Younger ones identify as both. Mariah Carey was one biracial who staunchly identified openly as both in the 90’s. Halle Berry however chose different. Everyone has their right to choose. When it comes to representation it gets TRICKY. Zendaya, Mariah Carey, Jasmine Guy, Doja Cat, Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, Kaerruche, Ice Spice etc. aren’t black women representation, to me they are biracial.
  • Me personally as a biracial person raised by my black mother, i say I'm biracial cause its who i am. I don't need to choose a side to prove anything. Now if you ask me what side i feel a little bit more connected to, i would say my black side lol.

Identify as biracial… end this never ending debate.
  • “As a biracial” as simple as that🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️
  • @ml.vaughn2122
I’m half blacked and Italian I consider my self as both
  • I think it does biracial people a disservice! Why should they choose. They are both! I get the history but we have to get rid of this hate!
  • @Ornament_1
Biracial should identify as themselves and stop capping for others

We need a whole show on this topic with a guest panel. This was very interesting and informative to me to hear Claudia and Al’s perspective and experiences.
  • @vetocrown
Okay hair! Claudia, you look absolutely beautiful and the hair is very much giving!!!!!❤
  • @jearl3054
Claudia, I love your new look. Your hair and makeup are on point - Perfect!
  • @alexpress5375
Why don't mixed or biracial ppl want to identify as such...? Why do they have to choose white or black? Clearly Claudia and Al don't look 100% white or black 🤷
  • My son is 8 and I'm telling him that he's both. He needs to be as proud of his white side as his black side (my side).

I am a black person with 2 black parents, and I find this "How Black Is Ya" argument exhausting. No where is this conversation happening except on social media. This convo is not happening in real life. Social media is dumb!

no other country in the world are mixed race ppl classified as black. Nobody in Africa would look at Zendaya, Amber Rose, or Colin Kaepernick and say "that's a black person" only in America is someone who looks like Mariah Carey and someone who looks like Lupita Nyongo both considered black.

People need to identify as what they actually are. It's dangerous to let people self identify publicly and be able to jump in and out to their advantage. Actual black people aren't able to do that.
