This really needs a part 2!! I’d love to see more of this, especially in locations such as those taken over by the White Frost (smaller maps in another “world” where the frost has pretty much destroyed the world, so it has a lot of background elements of past civilizations) along with the Elven world you can visit later. In the elven world you only go into one building and out onto a terrace, but in the distance is a hugeeeeeeeeee city which looks really well made. I’d love to see how they cut costs to make it appear grand and lived in without actually 3D modeling everything. And we can’t forget the fairy tale world from Blood and Wine! That’s such an amazing area and has so many odd little “from a story book” looking elements to it that definitely could make an entire episode all on its own! As always, love your work, both of you!
  • 9:48 This model is actually a lower LOD model of Wyzima from Witcher 1. You can see both south and east gate that you enter from the Outskirts. The same model is later used for pieces of Tir ná Lia during the quest, Through Time and Space.
  • Whoa. I'm glad you brought up that "melting face" phenomenon. A long time ago I downloaded some large, wide wallpapers for TW3 and while examining some of the details of one of them, I noticed a fisherman in a boat that had a creepily melting face! I had never seen anything like it in TW3 before and it remained an unsettling mystery for me for a very long time. I eventually forgot about it until I saw this video and now I feel a little better knowing it's just a strange anomaly in the game and perhaps I didn't download a haunted JPG after all...

Actually, you CAN go outside Vizima Palace, using a glitch where Geralt can jump through a gap in the walls via the scaffolding. It's possible to them see the save green area as that in this video.
  • Would doing Witcher 1 be possible? Given how different its vanilla version & enhanced version was, I'm really morbidly curious what was left around in the margins in that game.

Great episode. You're really good at this Snipey. As for the flat textures that follow the camera and face you, they are called "Billboard textures" in 3D development, usually consisting of only two polygons which face your direction. In some games, distant objects like trees are replaced with billboards, then low polygon models as you get closer and ultimately a higher detailed model.

I love this game so much, such a beautiful and stunning game the devs made

it's a lot of fun to watch you go through stuff! you are a great addition to Shesez' team!
  • @velzekt4598
It's still weird hearing a narration from someone other than Shesez narrating Boundary Break, but it's still an incredibly engaging narration! Also great boundary break of one of my favorite games :)

what about the cut town in toussaint? there's an empty space on the northern part on the left of thie region's minimap. You can see roads that go there but don't connect to anything including each other and some empty space between those roads. You can go around it and still be in bounds of the map but if you go down the southern or the northern road it'll say you're outta bounds and take you back.

This definitely needs a part 2. Especially to explore the Ddiddiwedht Desert, the Ice Plains and Tir ná Lia. There's also some inaccessible sections in Toussaint like the large forest Mid North of the map with rendered statues in it. There's also some building models in the far distance (West) of the map that are inaccessible.

I've been tweeting for you to do this for a couple of years now. Thank you ❤️
  • @Lino1259
Hey Snipey, just wanted to thank you for the great content you're creating here. You are doing a great job!
  • @MrTheTuxedo
There's a dev team photo on top of a mountain in Toussaint, in the corner of the map, I think it was the South East corner that you can't get to without cheats or mods.
  • I was looking forward to this one! You've done so many games by now, it's insane. I remember when I discovered this channel I bine watched damn near all of them. Maybe Bioshock again though? You've remade a few of you original videos by now, and honestly, that one was awesome. Also the game has been remastered since then, so it's worth a shot I think. It's just such a beautiful game.
  • The seamless transition between rooms, caves and the outside is the best thing about the witcher 3 when it comes to technical aspects. It's very unusual that interiors don't unload but it makes for great out of bounds exploration.
