This has been a little secret... but I'm very excited to finally reveal the next chapter for ‪@TheShmuseum‬, and our first expansion! With the collection of Shmeemobiles quickly expanding, space was always going to be a problem, but now we have the solution.

We moved into The Shmuseum as the ‪@Shmee150‬ HQ almost exactly a year ago and what an amazing year it has been. It's a huge thank you to the 120,000+ subscribers to the channel, plus the amazing brands and partners who have supported the journey so far. However, while we've been working on the plans for the office and mezzanine, an opportunity came up about 4/5 months ago that diverted plans and was too good to be refused. Welcome therefore, to the second generation of The Shmuseum and our brand new space!

Approximately 2/3rds the size of the main hall, the new area gives a distinct split between uses and will allow the setup of a workshop for us to carry out light tasks in house, and who knows what down the line, with the main barn very much taking the museum duties. It's early stages and I'm giving some time to take in ideas before committing to it all and an exact layout.

After coming to show you the new area, we can also update on the plans for what we're doing across the entire space. Then it's actually out to pick up the Ferrari GTC4Lusso and explain where that's been recently.

Thanks for watching!

Here we go! Welcome to the second generation of The Shmuseum. Super excited now we can really get everything rolling and some of the plans we have in store

Can’t wait for Shmuseum v3 in a year when v2 ends up full. Congrats Tim and the team this is huge!

Tim, I know you said you would only do a small doorway between the two buildings, but seeing that large wall section that used to be open I can't stop thinking how epic it would look to have that section removed and open up the two sides. I'm sure a solution can be had to drive between them too. You could drive inside the two garages to service, wash, and stage all your cars without even having to go outside with them! Epic!!

Buying a crashed supercar and doing some collab work with other youtube channels who do bodywork etc would bring a whole new angle to this channel, people love a decent car rebuild. The Shmuseum is coming on very nicely, kudos to the team.
  • Opening up between the two spaces has to happen whether it's a drive through or large glass wall IMHO, anything else will feel like a compromise around the current spaces available rather than the absolute dream space bespoke to fit Tim.

I honestly can't imagine the work behind the scenes to do all these things in such a short amount of time. I predict we will get new team members in the shmuseum soon!
  • I think a glass partition on the connecting wall between the two would be great !
  • @sorenslothe
Sort of expected the expansion when you started teasing it the other day, but hadn't thought it was already built out and almost ready to start putting things in right on the other side of the wall. Will be great to follow where this goes from here! 👌👌
  • I've been following the the shmee150 channel since 2015 and I'm amazed by how it has grown, and now to include the shmuseum. I'll like to visit the museum one day
  • @BACK2PORT
Mate, I can't even begin to fathom the cost of concreting both them barns. The amount of cars he now has is actually admirable tbh.

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate Tim and his team for their efforts, the way this channel is growing its so good and motivating to see, amazing work! Words can’t describe the hard work you guys put in, maintaining these many cars and making sure they feel like clock ticking new is no joke! Amazing, keep it coming.
  • I knew this was coming.. When you first moved in, I was thinking "thats not big enough for what Shmee wants to do".. You should use both spaces under the upper area for parking spaces and put all the storage in the second more industrial area.. Or use that area under for the "secret car" projects you mentioned.. Personally I think the mezzanine should have been where the tents are behind the main cars..

Whoever does the timeline of episodes is a genius. Keeps us all waiting and fixed!

I have been in the security industry for 20yrs and my advice would be a proper sprinkler set up and integrated to your fire alarm system, also it’s probably the easier of the installations due to layout. My 2 pence worth.
  • I would suggest hanging banners and flags from the ceiling first off. It sets the mood for what you are trying to accomplish. Secondly, i would have projection systems installed with your adventures of specific cars, and or race footage of the manufacturers. The international flags should have been featured because of your travels as well.
  • Shmu-2!! Love it. I’ve said it before, say it again… the shmuseum channel really makes us subscribers feel like we are part of the Shmee150 project. Love it. Good work guys!
  • @mersh318
Love this channel. I agree Tim the journey is fascinating to watch rather than a quick reveal. And many thanks again for signing my son's Lego at Goodwood
  • @stefstef4420
Loved the reveal, did not see it coming, but I do highly recommend that cars should be able go get from one side to the other without going outside, and to follow, you could have an indoor wash bay in the other barn for those cold winter days. And you'll finally be able to get your own trailer, maybe even get one with transparent sides so others can see what's in the trailer, it would look really awesome, maybe even with The Shmuseum and Shmee150 logo on. :) Again, loved the video and keep them coming :)
