  • Hey guys! As a lot of people have let me know, the channel Rerez has reviewed a good chunk of these games in more depth. If you want a deeper dive into some of these games, go check out their channel! Their videos are a lot more professional than mine! youtube.com/@rerez
  • I think you kinda underexaggerated the biggest problem of sonic 06: The game wasn't finished. No literally, it wasn't finished. Sega rushed it out the door and refused to delay it and eventually realized it couldn't run on the wii, so they took half the staff of 06 and moved them to a different game. Like there are major mechanics that just weren't programmed in, letting you do things like just fly over levels. Not only was it a bad game, it's quite possibly the most famous bad/unfinished game and it almost killed the sonic franchise. He became an industry laughingstock and still is to this day.
  • The thing with Balan Wonderworld is that it's a one-button game - everything is done with the left stick and a single button. Painfully oversimplified.
  • Duke Nukem Forever actually lost the "longest development time" record pretty recently to Beyond Good and Evil 2.
  • Honestly, the idea of a horror game with a deaf protagonist and the ability to not hear anything at all sounds like a great idea.
  • @Spiyder11
It still irks me to this day that it’s not called “Balan Wonderland”, it sounds much better in my head
  • @wnfeo4518
Very surprised there was no Hong Kong 97 in this iceberg
  • A perfect representation of how much effort was put into Big Rigs is that bridge you "cross" along the driving route. You just clip through, down into and across the ravine and then back up onto the road on the other side again. They couldn't even be bothered to add collision to the one object that the player is directed to travel across.
  • 16:02 I didn't know that they're was controversy surrounding the Sonic R soundtrack! Nowadays everyone seems to love it, so the fact that there were people who genuinely found it annoying is super surprising to me. Especially since the soundtracks seem to be the one consistently good thing about the Sonic franchise. The more you know, I guess!
  • For an iceberg of the worst games of all time, there is quite a few games that are considered average. You’d expect all of these entries to be universally panned, especially on the lower tiers
  • 2011 was such a wild year. So many games that were hyped to hell. Skyrim, Dark Souls, Portal 2, Dead Island. And of course, Duke Nukem Forever. I remember taking the day off of school and going downtown to get it. I think i played for about 4 hours and haven't touched it since lol.
  • my dad bought me ninjabread man for the wii and when he saw how it looked, he never bought me a game without asking me again. I haven't heard about this game in years so it's neat to see it here
  • See, if The Quiet Man wanted to make people who can hear feel the same frustration as the deaf, they should've just had everyone using sign language, and then the second playthrough have the subtitles. It'd give anyone who knew sign language the ability to tell the story right away, inclusive to the deaf and those who are considerate to the deaf, and an exclusion to those who take hearing and speaking for granted, inverting the status quo,. But they did it wrong and bad, and everyone was lost and dissatisfied.
  • I'm surprised no one mentions the game Journey of the Light, an indie game that came out on Steam back in 2015. It was a puzzle game where you play as a floating ball of light and you must light lamps scattered around eight large levels to beat the game. The issue is, there weren't eight levels, but just one. Players who bought the game couldn't get past the first level and when the game was datamined, players discovered the game consisted entirely of the first level. When players accused the game's developer, Lord Kres, of scamming consumers, he explained that the game consisting of only one level was the result of a glitch caused by releasing a bug fix patch, and that the glitch didn't occur after he playtested the game with the patch installed. He had built up a small following as an up-and-coming indie developer after he showcased early builds of a game called Voxelized, which came out after Journey of the Light, funnily enough.
  • Honestly I wonder how the dev of The Letter is doing because even if the game wasn't great the dev seemed to genuinely be passionate, I hope they're finding success
  • Thank you for keeping the "Woo, this video was SO long geez I can't believe how long this was" to a minimum. Also I like the ambience and a special kudos to the clarity of your speaking. A lot of iceberg channels/videos don't take their audio quality seriously.
  • This video is awesome man. You're not making stupid jokes every 3 seconds, you aren't shaking the screen with dumb edits. Just thanks man, great voice too.
  • Elf Bowling was a NOVELTY game, and a pretty memorable one at that. You just had to be there to appreciate those early internet games.
  • @Pipkiablo
Oh my gosh, when Balan Wonderworld came out, I was so obsessed with that game and how bad it was. No I haven't played it and I likely never will, but I was just eating up all videos talking about it and the book.
  • @moss916
Morphman’s voice is haunting. “I’m an eagle!” You make really solid icebergs.
