My name is Bre. I took two years of small engine repair at the local college. When I left school, I fell into a wonderful job at a local small engine shop where I worked the counter for a couple years. In 2010 my husband and I opened up our own small engine shop in central Arkansas where I am able to work alongside my family and best friends. We see over 2,000 pieces of small engine equipment every year, and answer 1,000's of small engine questions. We specialize in brands such as Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Echo and Shindaiwa, but work everyday on MANY other brands like Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda, Craftsman, Remington, Red Max, Troy Bilt, Scag, Bad Boy, Hustler, World Lawn, Poulan, Mantis, Etc.. Hopefully, my experience I share, will save you Time, Money and Frustration in the future!

Totally impressed that you put your husband's health ahead of the business and even YouTube. Prayers for both of you. Looking forward to your future videos!

I just found your YouTube channel just in time for the shop to close. I’m glad that you are continuing to add content. I like your teaching style. It works with my learning style. I look forward to learning a lot.

Best wishes to your husband. Recovery from hip surgery is relatively easy. It's the knees that have a long and painful recovery. So glad to know that we'll be getting more videos from the talented and beautiful Chickanic. Please keep up informed about how things are progressing. Those of us who follow your channel feel like family!
  • @BearE9090
It's been a pleasure and great learning experience. I hope Ron has a speedy recovery, and both of you have a well-deserved rest.

  • I’m a relatively new subscriber, 66 yrs old, been fixing stuff with engines since the 60s. Your channel so helpful and informative. Get that husband back to 100% and your new venture in motion. Can’t wait!
  • @ThePlowGuys
Good for you. Take the time you both need for health. We can all wait. Good luck. John

You scared me, I thought you were closing forever! I’m sure everything will turn out fine. You have thousands of loyal viewers pulling for your family to enjoy continuing success. We need your help with our engines and learn tons from your channel. Thanks for the update!

  • @dennmillsch
Sheesh, I'm almost exhausted just seeing your shop cleanout and imagining how much work that was. And like 1000s of other fans, wishing you and your family all the best.
  • @LHLWASRIGHT
Seeing all those parts, whew! Where there's a will, there's a way. Good luck with surgery and recovery.
  • Im only 48 and just had a full hip replacement a few weeks ago, I can relate to what your husband is going through. Let him know it's not that bad of recovery I was walking normal again after about 7 days. Good luck to ya both!

I’ve been a mechanic for 30 years on everything from cars to bucket trucks and I learn a lot about small engines from you! I hope this break will allow you to have a better setup. I have too much junk laying around myself, a mechanic can’t seem to help holding onto good useable parts no matter how outdated they are! Every now and then I have a purge but then shortly afterwards, I need something I pitched! I feel your pain and I wish you all the best!
  • Thank you, my Friend for all your help with my repairs on my yard equipment. I've also been able to help my friends and family with their repairs. Wishing you both the best with your future endeavors. I'm praying for you and Ron as he gets that hip replacement, that all goes well. Your the best, love you guys
