It’s terrifying how 90s US military tech was so advanced that it’s still impressive 30 years later.
-
the greatest "fuck around and find out" moment in the 90s
-
This is terrifyingly haunting how fitting this song is, right down to every verse. “We will find you acting on your best behavior, turn your back on Mother Nature, everybody wants to rule the world.”
-
The Gulf War, or "That time a superpower so overcorrected from their last loss that they caused special forces to surrender to news crews."

Trying to get in the mood for the new Call of Duty game set in the Gulf War lmao

To think this was over 30 years ago… truly a doomer experience

this song is so prophetic down to its lyrics "help me make the most of freedom and of pleasure nothing ever last forever everybody wants to rule the world" freedom finally came crashing down and even the soviet union didnt last forever like everyone expected "holding hands while the walls come tumbling down" and a few years after this song, the berlin wall fell truly the song of an era everybody still wants to rule the world

My father served in the gulf war as a corpsmen his legs got seriously injured in a land mine incident and barely survived but he did survive and serve his country with pride, god bless those vets who served 🇺🇸

There will never be a war as decisive and efficient as this one.

I feel like what makes this oddly captivating is that a lot of these clips aren't really some high octane fights and combat, it's very mundane. it feels weirdly nostalgic even though I've never fought in combat nor was this "during my era" if you will
-
"say goodbye to mother nature, everybody wants to rule the world" joining the military during this time truly was saying goodbye to mother nature.
