The whole "pistol is better than carbine" argument is basically just "officer is better than infantry so pistol is better" which, I mean... I guess the officer is better than infantry, but the pistol isn't necessarily better. It just gets the job done.

carbine is basically sawn-off musket except it's not buckshot roulette

If you want a less accurate, less damage gun with no bayonet, just go officer. At least you have a better sabre for that trade-off.

Carbine + Hand Axe is basically officer but with a better gun and melee weapon but no charge If you have no clue how to use the bayonet propely youre probably better off just picking the carbine.

i like the carbine cause it has similar penetration to the musket, atleast the last time i used it... which was shortly after the reload buff... edit: i used it again, still works

NOTHING will stop me from using the carbine as KGL and pretending to be a rifleman On another note I think they should make a rifleman/light infantry class, slow reload, no bayonet but with a slight movement and swing buff and more accuracy

A way that carbine could be seen as maybe a potential choice to pick, is to make it to where the pistol can't penetrate the bomber's barrels as well (or in other words, give bombers resilience to the pistol) that way people may consider carbine. The only reason why this could be a logical choice is because the pistol's barrel is shorter and thus less muzzle velocity or something I don't know.

Idea, the carbine is lighter, and smaller, so uh, press f to bash? It would be simillar, albeit slower then the axe, or you can make it the same.
