  • How cool is that!! Dr. Ellis’s song sounds like every love song ever written! Full of hangups and fantasies! His ideas blessed me big time over 50 years ago when a battered life seemed to confirm my worthlessness. By his guidance I was able to catch my inner whine and despair and dispute its dogma. Ellis’s teaching is a modern version of JOB, who originated the act of speaking truth to cruddy comforters. Now at 86 I still am able to weed out the choking talk and reap nourishing wisdom, which is the priceless reward of keeping faith with life NO MATTER WHAT! Thanks for sharing a life saver.

A book by Albert Ellis transformed my thinking for the better. I re-read it for years. In it, he covers these concepts. Best wishes!

What a mensch. I love that there is this recording of Ellis singing one of his therapeutic songs. Although, I didn't quite get the last line of the song . It seemed a bit garbled. It sounded something like "for if you could man love too, I'll hate you till I die, dear".

That song should be on it's way to the TOP 40 - With a Bullet !  (It has better lyrics than most - and FAR more entertaining ! )
