  • I’m a total clean freak when it comes to the toilet, especially the seat and lid. My husband and I live in an apartment and a couple of years ago the maintenance replaced the toilet seat with a cheap plastic one that comes loose all the time. We’re always having to tighten the screws. The rather thin plastic lid doesn’t close properly. The whole thing is pathetic. I’m surprised the seat hasn’t broken off by now when it slides off to the side like it does. LOL! When maintenance first installed it my husband suggested we just buy a “real” toilet seat, but I told him no. I’m glad I’m watched this video because now I’m thinking of buying a good seat and I’ll know how get the proper size and how to install it.

Shouldn't use bleach when the hinges are made out of zinc. We learned the hard way
  • I like the idea of having a seat that lifts off for easy cleaning, but wouldn't want one if it didn't also have the slow closing feature.

I would recommend some type of eye protection when using harsh chemicals. Those brushes can really fling water droplets in all directions.

After a year, how are you liking that new toilet seat?
