Considering that the Kalos legendaries, Yvetal, Xerneas and Zygarde are based on Vetrfolnir, Eithyrnir and Nidhogg (The guardians of Yggdrasil) it would be really cool if those same pokemon were brought back and had some Ragnarok like special forms equivalent to the primal forms for Kyogre and Groudon.
  • As a Norseman, I would have loved for Gen 9 to have taken place in a Scandinavia-based region, mostly due to how important the number 9 is in Norse Mythology. I like Scarlet and Violet, but I'd have liked a Nordic region :D Also, just for clarification, Ymir is only the father of all ice giants in things like Marvel, but in the actual Mythology Ymir is the father of the Jotnar, a tribe of supernatural entities that were the opposite of the Aesir tribe. They were gods in their own rights but represented chaos and evil rather then order and good like the Aesir did, for the most part. Also, contrary to what people think, mostly due to Marvel, Jotnar were not giants. A few certainly grew to large proportions due to the chaotic nature of their existence, and some of them even had the shape of animals, but most of them were human-looking, ugly ones, but human-looking nontheless.
  • All of these pokemon are wonderfully designed. The artist did a great job with them. I love the three starters, Crowscure, Bjorking, Fenristil, Dragrism, and Houndemn.
  • Squirrush/Squirrimber seems like an overt reference to Ratatoskr, the squirrel that climbs up and down Yggdrasil, carrying messages for Nidhogg and the eagles that perch at the top of the tree. The faces in the smoke of Valhalgon are the faces of Spiritomb, Haunter, and Rotom. Neat little reference there!

The Norden Region is by far, my favorite Fakémon region! It’s so cool, seeing you look through this region!

5:20 Its not a Phoenix but that could be Gullinkambi. As in some sources they are linked to be the same. According to Norse mythology Gullinkambi sits on top of the tree Yggdrasil. Here it wakes the Viking warriors every morning and it will crow at the beginning of Ragnarok😊
  • Biteobait’s alternate lure isn’t a shiny Magikarp. Based of the odd looking fins, the eye design and the pattern used, it’s supposed to look like a Feebas. Although if it were shiny , the lures could get the colours of each of their shinies.

Someone needs to make a game out of this.

6:00 well Garm is only called a hellhound, but looking at his home Helheim, Ice really is more fitting, Ghost of course fits perfectly. 8:22 most likely this is Fafnir themed.Fafnir was a geeedy dwarf who became a dragon to protect his treasure. Also the Rainbow/??? could imply the Gems color differ to change second type accordingly.

The Thundrailer Fakemon might be a reference to Tatzelwurms, half-feline, half-serpentine beasts from Alpine folklore (Switzerland mainly). Though they aren't specifically from Norse mythology, it is part of the greater Germanic mythology that Norse culture is a part of. It's also important to note that Tatzelwurms show up in the Norse God of War games as an enemy type, so it might reference that too.
  • ( 17:20 ) definitely a Draugr. Zombies that have the ability to grow in size, explaining why Warraith is so big.

Pacielf be like: -Fairy type -Gains fighting type upon evolving -Immediately replaces that fighting type with grass type upon evolving the second time

Fun fact about Thor. Each night Thor eats hes goats as he can resurekt them. Here is an outtake from Wikipedia «The Prose Edda relates that when Thor cooks the goats, their flesh provides sustenance for the god, and, after Thor resurrects them with his hammer, Mjölnir, they are brought back to life the next day»
  • Freya looks like my little sister when she turns into a teenager. The beauty from Pokémon X and Y looks like me when I turn into an adult.
  • Love these, such a missed opportunity not calling Mjolnislash Aegismash imo
  • @BlinkzyOnKick
This is one of the best Pokémon thing I’ve ever seen!!🔥
  • One of the best Scandinavian regions I've seen so props to the creator. I would definitely play this if it was a game. As someone who LOVES Viking and Norse culture and mythology this Fakemon Region really hits the sweet spot for me. Also if you think this one is good you should check out Mr. Buddy's Scandinavian region that he did a while ago. He's making his own pokemon-esque game now but his region videos are Top Tier. Lastly this is why I prefer fan-made regions, they're just done better and with more love and care then what Gamefreak can put out.
  • (7:37) This could be a reference to Angrboda, the mother of Fenrir and jörmungandr. Seeing as Thundrailer is a wolf-snake hybrid thingy.
