I walked through the small town of Ginzan Onsen during a heavy snowfall, surrounded by a blanket of snow. I savored a hot drink from a vending machine and strolled past traditional wooden buildings, old inns, and ryokans with warm lantern light.
The peaceful atmosphere was heightened by the snow-covered hot springs and the muffled sounds of the town. The mountainous landscape was outlined in the distance, surrounded by snow and dancing snowflakes.
As I reached the end of my journey, I took one last look at the peaceful winter wonderland before catching the last bus back. The memories of my snow-covered walk through Ginzan Onsen, surrounded by hot springs, old inns and ryokans, would stay with me forever.

I don't know why, but the snowfall in this video reminds me of "雪国" (= snow country) written by 川端 康成 (= Kawabata Yasunari 1899-1972). He won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1968.

Winter like from a fairy tale 🥰! Were this movie the only one, your trip up north was worth to take - the wonderful scenery in twilight time, the SNOW☃️, snow flakes against the dark sky ❄💙❄, river and all the people around....
