  • The girl who lost her feet was actually very lucky. The cable was originally wrapped around her NECK. She managed to wrestle it off and the portion around her feet remained as the ride dropped. Fascinating Horror did a video on this, if I recall correctly.

This reminds me of my childhood. My mom had six kids, so we couldn't afford to go to things like amusement parks, the movies, eating out, really anything. So instead of taking us to the amusement park, she would make me go on websites and look at horrible injuries of roller coasters gone wrong. People having limbs amputated, people dying, people weeping about their lost loved ones, anytime I wanted to do something fun she would fear monger me. I've never been on a roller coaster, and I am terrified of them. But seriously, what kind of mother shows her 8-year-old daughter that kind of graphic content?

Imagine surviving war and dying on a rollercoaster

When my daughter was younger we went on a ride at Thorpe Park, UK. She was next to me on the magic carpet ride but she was very slender in size and although I was not big at all the difference in size meant the restraint that covered both of us was not as secure on her as on myself. When the ride began to gain speed she began to slip down on the seat and terrified, could not prevent herself from sliding. It was only my arm that ended up keeping her in the seat until the end of the ride. We have not been on the ride since although it still runs to this day.
  • They just had to shut down the worlds tallest Drop tower ride In Orlando Florida because a teenage boy fell to his death because his restraints weren’t fully down his name was Tyra. RIP Tyra💔

“Not a leg to stand on!” Seems like a pretty insensitive joke considering this poor young woman has the rest of her life to live with a severed foot 🦶

I'm so glad Busch Gardens employee's always check your seat lock before they let the ride go.

The Sandblaster one surprised me… in 2018, I think I was around 10. I wanted to go onto that ride so bad, but my dad noticed that I wasn’t properly fit into the seat. He made me get off the ride and I threw a FIT. I just now heard this story. I dodged a good bullet that day I guess 😅

Imagine being able tu survive in the military just to be killed by a rollercoaster

Seems like a lot of these accidents could have been prevented by using actual seatbelts/harnesses instead of those plastic restraints.. I never really understood why parks don't use them more often
