Dude I support you fully in this decision. I’ve watched your channel for years as you know. And kinda in your boat too. As you’re aware I’m getting married soon, and also with my day job in private security I need to be sharp. So I’ve been quietly making the decision to quit drinking and focus heavier on my fitness. Obviously a spouse doesn’t want a drunken fool stumbling around the house, and also it’s hard to make those fitness gains with alcohol as you mentioned. You know I love you man, so whatever you do I’ll support. And I think the idea of stepping away from the booze is a great idea for you. And you is what matters, not the content. You’ll always have a supporter here with me. Only reason I don’t go to twitch anymore is scheduling. Rock on, and do what you enjoy.

Matt, it truly is good to see you man. I was a huge fan back in the day, some snot nosed teen watching the old drinking content, and had been following since the first real take down of stuff, and I'll admit i did stay for the drinking content and the food challenges especially. Showed up to a couple of livestreams, donated, loved hanging out in there. A lot has been going on with me as well and i kinda had to stop watching unfortunately. Things are starting to turn around and i got this notification this morning, real happy that youre still around doing your thing. It absolutely is the end of an era, but a great one. And i look forward to coming back and seeing more chill content from you. Love you man. ❤

This is very interesting to me, I started watching you around 2014/15 while I was still in High School and not (legally) able to drink, and I have now gone through my own drinking ups and downs and am coming out of it deciding, (at 27) to cut it back drastically. Our health is serious and we have to take care of ourselves. All of this to say, I have and always will get a lot of enjoyment out of watching you, and booze or no booze I'm here for the ride!

I cut my booze intake HEAVILY. It came with getting older, and with age should come more responsibility. Also, hangovers suck. Huge props for not wanting to do drinking content, and I wish you good health.

We all have to change some things and behaviors as we grow older but that doesn't mean we have to sacrifice our essence. And I’m so glad to hear that your mom and your dad and your grandma are OK but as far as feeling it I totally understand where you’re coming from. I’ll turn 40 I think a week or two before you do and I’m shocked that I’m gonna be 40. I never thought I’d get to the stage. But somehow it creeps up on us.😊
