Recently, the US and Japan held talks with the Philippines, and American lawmakers travelled to Taiwan.The G7 has condemned Chinese aggression. Today, QUAD foreign ministers, including India’s S. Jaishankar, gather in Tokyo, pledging to keep the Indo-Pacific free and open. Jaishankar said "the Quad is not a talk shop". In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that Quad has created tensions instead of seeking peace in the region. What do these efforts achieve?
