You are correct Tyler, when I first came out I was 32, and it was just like you said. I felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders, and I no longer had to pretend being something that I was not.
  • Love that your able to live your life without letting who you are weigh you down. Be proud of who you are, very happy for you 🙂

Wow! Great video! I am so glad you did what you did, Tyler. You are lucky to have a group of friends to support you also. I am a bit older than you, (MUCH), and could not come out due to prejudices. You are lucky to have a mom who accepted you. I am happy for you! I wish you the BEST in your future! I want to see progress for you! I subbed just for that reason! Hugs!

Tyler, just found you and subbed.   Great that you did this video.  I am from the United States and your story will help many young people, and older as well.  Any real religion is centered on love, that is why your grandmother was perfectly okay with your telling her.  Good for you, man, I look forward to more videos from you.................Ray

Really inspirational. So much that I'm tearing up a little about how I'm going to tell everyone. I already told my mom, but not my dad nor my sister. I have told my close friends. Been with my BF already a year next month and I just still feel very trapped; Just want to let it all go but don't know how exactly. I only told my Mom because of the conversation we had and I just blurted it out. But so true what you said at the very end, to come out when you want. Unfortunately I'm still coping with that part.

When you've a more definite plan for your current YouTube channel, you may want to include your BF in your videos. Those videos tend to get more views. Just saying..... ;-)

How on earth did you not know about gay people and what it meant. I was born 1971 I new about gay men and women by the time I was 8 that was the late 1970s. I new about homosexual relationship I came from a small town less 20000 people but we new about these things I cannot understand. In my teenage years my grandmother new I was gay I did not need to come out to her she was very protective of me. She would stop family member questioning about girl friends etc . I cannot understand the youth of the North America not know about homosexuals and men living together. I never really came out to my friends, I had a very close friend Sharon She never asked when we went at the clubs and bars on night she just asked if there where any blokes I fancied that night. After that I guess she told my group of friends so I never had to hide. My when I started dating I had a few one night stands I had gay friends that came to my house my parents where fine when I brought my first proper BF home mum just said will you and your boyfriend just please sleep together as she was fed up making the guest room up. She said I would rather you brought people home and had sex in a safe place. We j7st hugged and carried on making the afternoon tea. It was born major event dad just said, as long I was happy that's all that matters to him. My happiness Comes first . One I had been see my BF several months we travelled to a family, reunion in Kent England David was my partner or boyfriend. I have had zero negativity from my family and extended family. Other gay relatives came out. We where always told that you lot in North America where much more open and ahead of use but I now realise it's a total lie. Britain may have had out dated laws but the people where way ahead of the laws and the political classes.
