Sawadee khrup! I just came back from Pattaya and I drove on Route 7. It is indeed a smooth ride, and yes 105 THB toll (one-way) is totally worth it

Great info. I will be back in Thailand this year. Travel by train is my preferred method. I like the slow pace !! Also many chances to view the countryside as you travel.

Perfect information. As a regular visitor I have found a very reliable taxidriver from Pattaya who charge me only 1000 baht (+ 100 tip).

Thanks for this guide. New subscriber here. We'll be going in Bangkok this coming Dec 6 to 13, 2023. I think the bus is more faster since e need to go back in Bangkom just for a day tour.

When l am in Thailand and go from Bangkok to Pattaya or return, l only book a private car with driver. When you have large luggage the advantage is that the driver pick-up you at your hotel and drop-off at your destination hotel. For one or two passengers to book a sedan car with driver it cost me only 1,200 bath for one way drive, all included. It's the most confortable even it's more expensive.
