AMAZON ECHO DOT V2 (UK) - First impressions

I take a look at both the black and white version and also check the streaming sound quality from Spotify by playing the Dot through one of my DAC's/Headphone Amps.
The sound quality thing wasn't something I planned but just decided to do it off the cuff. I was quite surprised at the results! Anyway, I believe there is still a way to go before this device is on par with the American version but nonetheless I still really like my echoes and think that if anyone's on the fence about buying one and you're a bit into Tech then just Go For It!!

I got mine yesterday, impressed by it, it's smaller than I were expecting and the speaker quality is like a decent smart phone speaker. Plays music without having to set it up first. Got it linked to my Netatmo thermostat so I can control the heating with it. I just wish the smart bulbs and plugs were cheaper.

Nice video mate, Just ordered mine today with the Philips hue bridge and some bulbs etc and some colour strip lighting! Can't wait for tomorrow! New subscriber here too! Keep up the good work.

Superb video, so much information, which is very much appreciated. I'm toying with the idea of getting one of these, just need to see the Google Home arrive in the UK to compare both systems.

Great and informative video! The only thing you could improve would be a more prepared and organised video script, as with b-roll and stuff. Actual video and sound quality is top notch, keep it up!

Finally I found a review that has both colours of Echo Dots because I'm struggling to decide which one to get but I think the white one looks better and more futuristic.

Can you help want to get an Alexa or google which is best my brother has busy life iphone charging & helping with schedule etc also saw Alexa has Sleep app he struggles also has two girl ages 4 & 7 who love music & games he doesn't have iTunes or Spotify so which do you recommend

I got a white on in the USA and it did come with a white cable. We have 2 LIFX bulbs in the living room which we controll through IFTTT, they are expensive, I got a 2 pack for $90, but worth it. When they come down in price I'll difinitely buy more.

So why exactly is it bad with the headphone combo? Streaming bitrate or the dac amp of this thing?

They may have gone with the black cable and plug because the top of the white device is black. Thanks for the review. It was very informative.
