See the history of Europe's largest ethno-linguistic group which played a fundamental role in european and world history

PS. I know the first Bulgarian state was established in the mid 600s but that was more of a Turkic state. It starts in the Christendom of Bulgaria in 864 because thats when Bulgaria became a Slavic state. Also you may wanna watch in full screen

This is a history of states, not peoples. Slavs did not vanish when some neighboring state occupied their country, like Hungary occupied Crolatia, or Ottoman empire occupied Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Croatia. People lived there all the time since 7th century to the present day.

"Ancient Slavic Battle Music" makes me giggle. Nice video tho.

There is a fascinating book called “The Early Slavs”, well worth a read if your interested in the topic. In one chapter, it breaks down why there isn’t much archeological digs due to the way they lived and in the lands they lived. This map is great, but it always starts around 650 AD.. I’m more interested in finding out what these tribes were up to from the BC times. DNA maps have also proved fascinating. Thanks for posting

There was no man's land between Poland and Rus in X-XI century? I doubt it. Poles fought with Ruthenians, King Bolesław of Poland conquered Kiev in 1018 (he was a duke only at the time)

Well, Kingdom of Bohemia still existed after 1526, even as a part of Habsburg monarchy.

I love this video, but I wish you would include information about the Cossack states. Other than that excellent job!

Not such a comment war as I thought there would be. Good video and pretty chill community here (compared to other Slavic, Turkic videos)
