A nine-year-old girl born with one eye, who refused to even leave the house due to bullies, has had her life transformed thanks to a state of the art bionic eye replacement. After raising £15,000 to fly to the US, Myah and her mum Lauren returned home with not one, but three brand-new prosthetic eyes - including one with a heart-shaped pupil that glows in the dark! The two join us in the studio to talk about Myah’s new high-tech eyes.

What a remarkable girl. Those bullies should cower their heads in shame

She’s so naturally beautiful 🥺 hope she never lets anyone ruin her self esteem🫶🏼
  • A beautiful level-headed , intelligent and kind hearted girl. Deserves everything good that comes her way. Not a good day for the bullies when everyone else loves her.

I had microthelmia and congenital cataracts at birth. I am 57 now. At the time there was no one that could help me. At 9 years old we found one doctor that fixed my right eye. The left eye went blind because of previous failed operations. With my one eye I built a career fixing computers and designing websites. Young lady don't let anyone stop you. You can do anything you want too. Good luck I know you are a superstar in the making.

She’s stunning, I hope the horrible things people have said to her never makes her lose her confident because she’s beautiful inside and out!

God bless this little angel! The bullies don't even deserve to be mentioned, she defeated them ALL already.

Kids can be so cruel. i'm blind, and it took until college before people started treating me like someone worth talking to, and it was a shock when they did. I'm not sure what's worse, being ignored or being bullied. Probably bullied. My heart goes out to Maya for all the nastiness she heard from other kids. I'm so glad she has this bionic eye. I wish they'd gone a bit more into how it works, how it communicates with the brain. What they did here, saying they would buy her a new eye, was truly precious and generous. So kind and compassionate. Praying for only good things for Maya and her sweet mom.

What a beautiful young lady, she has one of the prettiest smiles I have ever seen!!! So happy for her and her family.may God continue to bless and protect this little angel♥️♥️♥️💪💪💪💪💪👍👍👍
  • I lost my left eye when I was 8 years old in the early 1970s. And the bullying was horrendous. It mentally messed me up for a few years. I learned to make people laugh by taking it out and making jokes about it and that was the best decision I made.👍 I was a short skinny kid so bullying me was easy but when I got older I grew to 6ft tall and started going to the gym etc and the old bully boys got some payback😆 I enjoyed every encounter with each one of them.💪 This young lady will learn to survive with it and she’ll be ok.👍 ❤️
  • My ten year old son just shared this video with me. This is such a remarkable and beautiful young girl! You have fans and supporters here stateside! We can't wait to see all of the wonderful things you will accomplish moving forward! As a wounded and disabled combat veteran myself I understand what it's like to have ongoing medical issues and seeing how sometimes people look at you differently when they don't understand why you may not be the same as everyone else, but don't ever let them steal your joy! I may be the old man here. But thank YOU for inspiring ME!

She is a gorgeous little girl with or without her bionic eye. Even as a baby. ❤ I am happy that the mother found a great doctor over here in the United States. I am so happy that the show is going to sponsor her new eye and help them out . I was born with lazy eye and have to had eye surgeries to help correct it and I will probably need another one. It is painful. But this beautiful baby girl has definitely suffered enough! 24 surgeries is a lot for a child to endure. I pray she continues to do well and progresses into a successful young lady and shows those bullies what losers they really are by holding her head up high and knowing that she has nothing to prove to them and goes and lives her best life. May God bless her ❤

What a beautiful baby girl! A smile that lights up the room she is in and strength that was forged through all of her trials... It is so amazing that some people can endure such hardship and still be filled with light and joy.. What an angel of a mother to have helped her baby push through so much trauma.. Amazing... Keep smiling princess you are completely Beautiful!!

I lost my eye to a rare cancer three years ago and it’s been such a challenge but seeing this and how accepted it’s started to become is so beautiful!

This was me 50 years ago! I had micro-opthalmia in my left eye. That small eye was kept, with a prosthetic shell (artificial eye) covering it, until I was about 33. Then, it had to be removed, due to glaucoma. Now my new artificial eye is fuller, and it moves so much more, due to the titanium pin attached to the muscles and pearl of sea coral to allow blood vessels to hold everything in place. This is the most movement I've ever had in a prosthetic eye. Growing up, you have to have a new eye made every few years, which is expensive, and most insurances won't pay for them (only limbs, etc...). Now that I'm an adult, it will last me several years at a time. I wish I had been so adventurous to try cool ones like the pink glitter heart!!! You look beautiful!
