Tonight three U.S. service members are recovering after a forklift accident at the Gaza Pier. It happened aboard USNS Benavidez which is a cargo ship based out of Newport News. Tonight, we know one service member is still in critical condition. Two others sustained minor injuries and have since returned to duty. For the last month, soldiers from Fort Eustis have been helping build the floating pier off the Coast of Gaza and are now delivering humanitarian aid to Palestinians.

  • Up next, 4 US contractors in GAZA didn’t flush the toilets after use.
  • "Get me any news out of Israel. Anything at all! It doesn't matter how irrelevant it is. Get it now!"

Very expensive and dangerous way to deliver a small amount of relief done more for votes than help.
  • Cost $3billion and there's also a daily cost the working class taxpayers are on the hook for. 🤮

Forklift on a floating pier, what could go wrong

Were giving money to Israel to bomb Palestinian and were giving money to help the bombed Palestinians. 🤔 What's wrong with this picture?
  • @Kolljak
clearly they were not "Forklift Certified".
  • @jacob8725
now they’re gonna get NOTHING except for “your injuries are not service related” 🙄

It was a bad idea to begin with. I'm sorry for our service members put in harms way so the president can claim he's being proactive. Nonsense!
  • @MenilaPaper
Or they can just use the roads since Israeli is letting aid in. Right?

I can't believe a forklift accident made the news. As a medic I've worked a few deaths, and crush injuries from forklifts. Not a single time did I see or here about it on the news.

As of a couple of days ago, no aid had been delivered from that pier. I'm pretty sure it's still the case. They've unloaded aid, but it hasn't moved and hasn't been delivered.
