If my memory serves me well, the car physics wig out when you run the game at a higher framerate. I think there's a video from a speedrunner explaining this, I just can't remember who it was... Might have to get back to you on that. I'll see if I can find out who it was. Add-on: It was EZScape Speedruns, and cars drive faster at higher framerates. Might cause physics to bug out, but I'm not sure.

There's actually a guy remastering Hit & Run on pc. He's got a youtube channel ( El Gato Del Tejado) that shows his progress. It looks really good.

I remember playing this game when it came out. having so many famous quotes in it made it such a blast. Of course, that was when Simpsons was actually watched by people. Instead of the shadow of itself it became over the past 2 decades

The PC version suffers from physics issues due to high framerate on modern systems. The Mod-Launcher comes with physics fixes that resolve the issue, even fixes some other graphical issues related to anti-aliasing among other things. So definatly worth launching through that, even when playing without mods, because getting flung around after a collision might make some later levels if not impossible, very frustrating.
