So happy they finally inducted Drew into the Hall of Fame. He certainly deserves it! He was a key factor in the great Cowboy teams of the 70s!!
  • It brings a tear to my eye revisiting this. These are the Cowboys I fell in love with as a kid. Tom Landry and Roger Staubach were American heroes. Great commitment, effort and belief. Pure class. Like Roger said in his retirement speech, "there were a lot of good ones."

Wow. This is unbelievable to see on here. I used to watch this VHS as a kid in the early 90s and learned so much about the team. Brings back some good memories.
  • I love my Cowboys from the 70's - mid 80's. Dorsett was my idol growing up.

Thanks Cowboys my childhood was memorable because
    of you.
  • @City-Bisquits

In 1987, I was a Cowboys fan but I didn't know what the Dallas Cowboys were all about. I loved the uniform and the star but I was a kid looking for heroes. That year was the start of a decline for the team for a few years. My dad took me to a video store to rent any movie I wanted; I rented this video so I could see the history of a team I had heard about being great over the years and see what the hype was all about. The intro and the Willy son Song "My heroes have always been Cowboys" is what made me fall in love with the team. I hope somehow, we can return to that moment again as fans.

I went to all the Cowboy home games in the Cotton Bowl when I was a kid. From 1965 until they moved to Texas Stadium in 1970. It seemed like the stadium was constantly buzzing like we knew the Cowboys were becoming a great team right before our eyes. I've never had a feeling like that again. I sat in the end zone. It was $ 2.00. When they moved to Texas Stadium it was $6.00. And my mom said we couldn't afford that. I only went to 5 games after that. But thank God they were always on TV in the metroplex.

Dorsett is my favorite player ever.. him and Emmitt!!! But the 99 yard run 23:41 was only possible because of Drew Pearson hustling and blocking 70yds down field!!! Absolutely incredible hustle 💪👌🙏

Wow...I've been looking for this since we threw out our VHS tapes, so THANK YOU. BTW I delivered the Dallas Times Herald in 1974-76. $2.40 per month..."Collect for the Herald Ma'am"!. Ahhh...the simplicity of the 70's!
  • @BillyRoberts
Makes me sad to remember the Dallas Times Herald. And to see Coach Landry and all the players we once cheered. What a special time it was. And not an Arkansas hillbilly in sight!

The name "Roger Staubach" is royalty to this day in Dallas...deservedly so. I used to love to watch him at quarterback. Even if you hate the Cowboys, you have to admit he was something special.
  • @ronlackey2689
The Cowboy blues at 31:13 are my all time favorite. That deep blue, gray pants, blocked numerals......man, I wish they'd go back to them!
  • @willrogan955
    Long time  Patriots fan...
However , I so enjoyed watching Landry coach and Staubach play during that time as a boy.  Great memories of great football and games.  Really liked Big D as a kid.
    THE DOOMSDAY DEFENSE.. Loved it.

Staubach after sitting out 3 years working in the Navy, he kicked Butt all across the NFL
