My favorite Bruce Springsteen song

“Badlands” is my second-favorite Bruce song. The line “Poor man wanna be rich, rich man wanna be king / and a king ain’t satisfied ‘till he rules everything” may be one of my favorite lyrics that start to sum up the collective mess that is modern day America.

The Legendary Star-Lord will return

I was pleasantly surprised during that credit roll. Great song to close out a great movie.

I saw him live during his Working on a Dream Tour in Hartford, and he opened with Badlands. I swear, he did not sing a word of that song. The crowd did.

When I was a sophomore in high school, my honors English teacher used this song as an example of modern existentialism.

I love Bruce Springsteen and now I can't wait because Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 have badlands 🥲
